Located in Ahmedabad, the Gujarat Technological University was established in 2007 as State University. GTU Ahmedabad has multiple campuses that are in Chandkheda (main campus), Gandhinagar, etc.

Note: Admissions in the above-given PG programs will require students to have at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. In addition, 5% relaxation to the students belonging to SC / ST / SEBC / required reserved category is offered in the qualifying marks for admission in the above-specified UG and PG programs.

* Under some of the programs, students who are still pursuing their qualifying examination can apply. However, till the time of admissions, all the requirements must be fulfilled.

Admission Process

The Gujarat Technological University admission is done through Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for programs like B.Tech, B.Pharm, etc. and Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) for BBA, BCA, and others.

To apply through the ACPC (on the basis of entrance exam score), students need to follow the below-given process:

• Step 1: Visit the GujACPC portal and register with the required details.
• Step 2: Upload the requisite documents in the asked format and pay the application fee.
• Step 3: After the verification, the merit list will be declared by the authority.
• Step 4: Later on, login at the portal and submit the list of Colleges and courses, as per the preferences.
• Step 5: At last, seats will be allotted to the students and students have to visit their allotted Institute with the required documents to confirm the admission.

In order to secure admission through the GCAS process (based on the marks in the qualifying examination), below-given steps need to be followed by the students:

• Step 1: Go to the GCAS portal.
• Step 2: Complete the registration process with valid email ID and phone number.
• Step 3: Now, build the profile and select the desired University and course.
• Step 4: Pay the registration fee and submit the requisite documents for verification purposes.
• Step 5: Afterwards, the merit list will be released on the portal.
• Step 6: Check the list and confirm the offer. Later on, visit the University for confirming the admission.

* In addition, admission under some of the Diploma courses is done via the Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC).

Selection Process

On the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and entrance examination, students are selected for admission in the University, respective to the requirements of the programs.

Along with this, in some professional courses, students are assessed as per their performance in the Personal Interview and Group Discussion.
