Banasthali Vidyapith came into existence in the year 1935. The founder Pandit Hiralal Shastri and Smt. Ratan Shastri had decided to fill up the emptiness caused by the sudden demise of their promising and highly talented daughter Shantabai. This fully residential institution offers education from primary to the doctoral level.
With the concept of materializing the spirit of nation-building and culture, Banasthali Vidyapith stands upon foundation pillars of Indian culture and Nationalism. Since its inception, academia had a clear outlook on its academic efforts. There was a realistic picture of the pattern and form of educational program that was to be adopted. The University is recognized by UGC, AICTE, BCI, PCI, and NCTE.
The institute visions to offer such academic programs that can promote the development of the balanced and harmonious personality of the students. The institute imparts education in the form of Panchmukhi Shiksha to the students. It is a balance of five different aspects of education, namely Practical, Aesthetic, Physical, Moral, and Intellectual that aim for harmonious all-round development of personality.

The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses for women candidates. The institute offers admission in undergraduate courses as per the marks obtained in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination. Aptitude test is conducted for admission in B.Ed, M.Phil, B.Pharm, B.Des, M.Tech, MA and MBA courses. Admission to Postgraduate courses is based on marks obtained in undergraduate courses. Minimum 75% attendance is required for appearing in the semester examination.
