Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology Serampore Fees Structure & Courses 2026

The course chosen by me is Computer Science Engineering. I enrolled in this course because I wanted to pursue career in Cyber Security in future. The eligibility criteria is having minimum 60% marks in class 12th and at least 6,000 to 6,500 rank in West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). You have to visit the college at Serampore manually after you get seat allotment letter. Visit the office to get your documents verified and pay the admission fee in online mode. There are C1, C2, C3, and C4 exams for 25 marks. 5 marks are for attendance, and an end semester exam of 70 marks is conducted in each semester. Honestly, speaking the academics does not prepare you for the real life challenges; you have to do it by yourself.

You have to pay Rs. 8,500 at the time of admission. Fee for each semester is Rs. 8,500. Rs. 5,000 is given for the seat allotment at WBJEE before getting the allotment letter. It is refundable. B.Tech is mainly a 4-year curriculum course. If you want to do B.Tech, you have to pass class 12 with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics). You have to appear in West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam and your general merit rank should be under 25000. Then, you will have to apply for college counseling and admission to this college.

I took admission in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Apparel Production Management (APM), which is specialization stream of Textile Engineering. One can take admission in this college through the basis of West Bengal joint entrance examination rank. Like other B.Tech courses, this course duration is also 4 years, which includes 8 semesters. Every year the board conducted exam 2 times. The exams are not that difficult and if a student studies regularly, he or she can pass the exams easily. There are also some Continuous Assignments exams conducted by the board.

The course fee is very low because it is a government-funded college. The fee structure varies in different branches. The highest fee is in Information technology department, which is around Rs. 12,000. Textile Technology fee is Rs. 6,500 and for CSE & APM, it is Rs. 8,500.Read Full Review
