NIST has 7-8 buildings. Academic blocks are LHC, Galleria, Octagon, Tifac, Core Building, Atrium, EDC, and many others. It has a swimming pool, an indoor stadium, an outdoor stadium, an open theatre, a fountain, a rock garden, a cafeteria, an icecream parlour, and a bookstore in it. Separate hostel for boys and girls are also here.

There are 22 clubs in NIST, which is the best thing in college. In the 2nd year of B. Tech. one can enter into a club by giving their personal interview to the club heads. In clubs so many fun events are organised. There are cash prizes also. Welcome party and farewell party is the must in college. The campus is big, so there is not much crowd anywhere, except in the tea shops nearby. There are 2 fests organised in NIST i.e. Sankalp - the technical fest of the year and another is Waves – the cultural event of the year. Sankalp is one of the most popular fests in NIST as it has a DJ night at the end day as well as there are so many fun events organised by each club. The library is one of the best places in the college because there are separate libraries for different departments like for B.Tech students we have a different library and a different one for MCA students. The campus also has a swimming pool, canteens, and particularly everything that you need.
