Established in 1989, GRD Uttarakhand University was formed under the aegis of Guru Ram Dass Educational Trust and it was formerly known as GRD Institute of Management and Technology Dehradun. Located at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, the University is approved by AICTE and recognised by PCI & BCI.

GRD Dehradun operates nearly 9 schools at their campus including School of Management, School of Law, School of Pharmacy & Research, School of Allied & Healthcare Professions, School of Advanced Engineering, and many others. Under these schools, the University offers programs at multiple levels including UG, PG, and Diploma.

• Step 1: Visit the official website of GRD Dehradun and then click on the ‘Apply Now’ button.
• Step 2: Now, students have to fill the application form with requisite details, upload the documents, and pay the respective fees.
• Step 3: Followed by this, appear for the entrance test / interview round (if applicable).
• Step 4: Afterwards, an admission offer letter will be sent to the eligible students and then they can pay the specified program fees to confirm their seat.
• Step 5: Lastly, students have to attend the orientation program to begin their classes.

Merit-based admissions are done by the University and as a part of the selection process, they consider a student's overall performance in the past qualified examinations, entrance test, and Personal Interview (PI) round, according to the course’s requirements.

• Academic-Based

Following table includes the scholarship that is offered on the basis of student’s academic performance in the qualified examination:

• Uttarakhand State Domicile Scholarship

10% concession on the tuition fees is provided under this scholarship and it is available for Uttarakhand domicile students who are seeking admission in the available courses.

• Hill States Domicile Scholarship

Students who are domiciles of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Nepal are eligible for this scholarship and they get 10% concession on tuition fees.

• Special Category Scholarships

At the University, special category scholarships are available under defence, girl child, alumni, and other categories. Students can refer to the below-given pointers to know the available scholarships and their percentage:

1. Wards of Defence Personnel: Additional + 5% Scholarship
2. GRD Alumni / Internal Students: Additional + 10% Scholarship
3. Scholarship for Girl Students: 5% on tuition fees
4. Sikh Community Scholarship: Up to 100%
