Gujarat may have been termed as the best state in terms of development but in terms of college, there are just a few. Many are in fact fraud and Parul has to be the biggest of them. I am still cursing my cousin who asked me to do B.Tech in Petroleum engineering and when I looked at the choices there were few. Honestly speaking my numbers were low and the college he recommended I finally did post-graduation from there. Anyways will talk about that in a different post as Parul was just rubbish. The campus, the infrastructure is award-winning which it deserves but in terms of education and placement, it is the worst. First Parul University Fees is huge and then hardly any exposure or quality education are what the Parul University is all about. The website, the ads are all just fake as I know quite a few students of other streams who are working in some local companies in Vadodara. They were not placed through campus but had to find placements on their own. There are 25 institutes on the campus and nearly 1000 teachers but trust me only 10% of them are skilled as the rest all have come through the recommendation quota.Read Full Review
Staying in Surat and not getting admissions in Engineering college is quite common. Thanks that we have some private universities who get admissions to the students who don’t even deserve. For me engineering is a passion and not getting admission did pissed me off. I saw Parul University full page ad and asked my parents to get me admissible there. The college has a management quota through which any number of students who can pay donations can get the admission. Asking for such a huge fee and plus the donations the college didn’t justified that at all. Keeping attendance compulsory is not the only thing but providing students with some highly qualified teachers and making sure that students are actually learning something is management’s duty. They failed on it big time. I am sorry but they did. In case you are not getting admission anywhere else, you can join this college otherwise please stay away would be my advice.Read Full Review
