In order to become a part of the BCAS family you just have to score around 90% in your academics in 3 main subjects such as Physics and one language such as English, to be on the safe side, the eligibility criteria, is more or less the same for all courses here. You can also apply through different quotas like the sports quota for example (if you are eligible according to DU’s guidelines). At least 40 seats are always present every year for the freshers. And since, all the courses are merit-based, there’s no entrance exam. Let me tell you something about myself. I’m from B.Sc Computer Science (Hons.).

I always wanted to make a career in the tech industry but didn’t score well in the JEE-Mains. So, instead of taking a drop year I chose to pursue in this course to become a part of the tech industry in one way or another. Every single college in DU is teaching the same syllabus for the same old books for a really very long time. We are supposed to be studying about new technologies, ideologies, techniques rather than learning the history. So, no, I didn’t expect that. But, on the other hand, you can apply for more and better jobs in both private and government sectors, after you complete your graduation. Or go after your masters. I did my graduation in Chemistry. There is no such entrance exam for admission in this particular course admission is totally based on the percentage of 12th class. I joined it because I love chemistry and it has a better future in pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Subjects are all interesting and practicals are the really fun part.
