Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology - OUAT Bhubaneswar was established on 24th August, 1962 and became operational from 1st February, 1963. The State University is working under the approval of UGC and ICAR. It provides education in the field of Agriculture, Engineering, and Science.

The Universities student receive a number of scholarships which are awarded by the State Government, ICAR, and OCAR. Students of Jammu and Kashmir are entitled to receive the Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS). Different scholarships awarded to the deserving candidates include National Talent Scholarship, Merit Scholarship, KALIA Scholarship, Medhabruti Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarship, Post Graduate Scholarship, etc. One student can avail only one scholarship at a time.

Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Fee Structure
There is a separate Placement Cell in all the respective colleges of the university. The Cell has been effectively functioning to bring up the best possible job opportunities for the students. To accomplish its objective, it organises campus interviews, lectures for skill enhancement and personality development, guidance to take competitive exams, etc. Many of the university graduates are working in different private and government sector organisations, NGOs, agencies, etc.
