Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics was founded in 2004. It imparts skills and education in streams of data science and spatial analytics to graduate competent professionals. It works under the authority of Symbiosis International University.

SIG provides M.Sc with specialisation in Geoinformatics, and Data Science and Spatial Analytics, and M.Tech in Geoinformatics and Surveying Technology at Post Graduation level.
