AEEE 2026: Phase 2 Registration (Closed), Exam Date (24 Apr), Eligibility, Syllabus, and More

The Phase 1 of AEEE 2026 has been concluded and exam dates for Phase 2 are scheduled from 24th April 2026 to 30th April 2026. Moreover, the AEEE 2026 registrations for Phase 2 are currently ongoing and students can apply till 18th April 2026 (last date). Also, for Phase 2, slot booking process will start from 10th April 2026 till 18th April 2026.

Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering is a National Level exam which is held as an entrance test to offer admission to students in B.Tech. Students can appear for either both the phases or for any single phase of the exam. Although, comparing from both the phases, only the best score will be considered for the AEEE 2026 ranking of the candidates.

The Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering (AEEE) is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in online CBT mode in various centres across India. It is an entrance test conducted for admission of students in the B.Tech course offered by 8 campuses of the University. Interested candidates will have to visit the online portal “aeee.amrita.edu” to register for the AEEE exam 2026.

The exam conducting authority has decided and updated the AEEE Eligibility Criteria 2026 according to which the minimum educational qualification of the candidate must be 10+2 / equivalent exam from a recognised board.

The students must have passed the qualifying exam with at least 60% of aggregate marks in PCM and 55% marks individually in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects. Moreover, as per the age criteria, the candidate must be born on or after 1^st July 2003 upto 30^th June 2009. Students must satisfy the eligibility criteria to appear in the exam for getting admission into the B.Tech programmes offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (the conducting body).

The applications for AEEE 2026 (Phase 2) are ongoing and accepted through the exam’s official website, i.e., “aeee.amrita.edu”. Students desirous to appear in the AEEE exam 2026 Phase 2 need to apply before its last date of  AEEE registration i.e., 18^th April 2026. Students can apply to appear in any single phase of the exam or for both the phases. 

Students will have to pay the applicable application fee through any one of the online payment modes such as credit card / debit card / net banking. The amount of the application fee will be Rs. 1300/- if the students will apply only for the AEEE exam or opt for AEEE + JEE. 

The syllabus of AEEE 2026 will be based on the level of 11^th and 12^th class / PUC course curriculum. The AEEE exam 2026 syllabus is prescribed by the exam conducting authority on the official website. The subjects included in the syllabus of AEEE 2026 need to be prepared for the B.Tech course for which the entrance exam is conducted.

In accordance with the test pattern designed by the conducting body i.e., Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed to be University), the AEEE 2026 exam will be conducted online in CBT mode. The question paper will comprise a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The exam will be conducted for overall 300 marks that students and the students will need to solve the test paper within the duration of 150 minutes.

In accordance with the designed AEEE Exam Pattern 2026, the marking scheme states that students will be awarded with 3 marks for each right answer and there will be deduction of -1 mark for each incorrect answer. Students are suggested to follow the exam pattern for making effective strategies to achieve a good score in the final exam.

The AEEE 2025 exam will be conducted in various cities in India. Moreover, an International Centre of the AEEE exam is in Dubai (UAE). Students have to choose 3 preferred exam cities at the time of registration. The centres will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s preference listed during application.

The AEEE 2026 slot booking - Phase 2 can be done from 10th April 2026 till 20th April 2026. The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham i.e., exam conducting authority manages the AEEE 2025 slot booking process so that candidates can book their slots for the exam. Slots for the exam can be booked only after the successful registration. During slot booking, students can select the “Date and Time” of the exam as per their choice from the available ones. It is to be noted that the date / slot for the AEEE 2025 will be allotted on the first come and first serve basis and there are a total of 3 slots in which the exam will be held.

Students need to book the exam date and slot by clicking on the slot booking link provided on the application portal. To book the slots, log in to the portal using the registered Email ID or Mobile Number and then select the preferred date & time slot. It is advised to carefully check the selected test centre, date, and time before confirming the booking. The booked slot cannot be changed later in any circumstances.

Note: If the chosen slot gets unavailable by the end of the process of slot booking, the candidates need to choose another available date & timing.

The AEEE Admit Card 2026 will be released on the official website. The Hall Ticket will be issued provisionally to only those eligible & registered candidates who have already booked their slots. Students can download the admit card from the portal only after booking their slots. The exam admit card will include details like candidate’s name, registration number, date of exam, address of allotted exam centres, etc.

After downloading the admit card from the official portal, students are advised to check all the details mentioned in it. The details need to match with what they have filled in the application form. If there is any discrepancy, students need to immediately open a ticket in the online query management system.

It is to be noted that students will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without a valid admit card. It is advised to keep the admit card for future reference till the admission procedure gets completed.

* The AEEE Admit card will not be sent to any student by the post.

Candidates are required to know the instructions that are prescribed by the exam conducting authority for students to follow on the AEEE 2026 exam day; consider the below-listed points for the same:

• The students are required to reach their allotted test centre and occupy their seat at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the AEEE 2026 exam.
• Students must be seated on the allotted seat only. For this, they can check the AEEE 2026 registration number on the allotted seats before settling down in the examination hall.
• Candidates must take a print out of their admit card along with a government issued valid Photo ID proof and bring these to the test centre on the examination day.
• Students are advised to arrive at the examination centre and enter the exam hall before the stipulated time slot to not miss out any general instructions or announcement.
• Use of any calculator, communication aids and any electronic device is not permitted. Also, any study material, textual material or gadgets are strictly prohibited in the exam hall.

It becomes easy for students to track their preparation level by solving the previous year question papers.
