

The notification for the AP ICET 2026 was released on 4th February 2026. The AP ICET exam for the academic year 2026-27 is scheduled to be conducted on 2nd May 2026 in 2 sessions from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The registration link for the test is live from 5th February 2026 onwards and will continue till 2nd March 2026 (without late fee). The AP ICET is a State level entrance exam that is conducted once a year in 2 sessions for filling the admission seats of the MBA & MCA courses. The mode of test is online wherein 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked for a total of 200 marks.

Candidates who are planning to take the test should register themselves for the same before the last date by visiting the official website i.e., ‘cets.apsche.ap.gov.in’. After this, a late fee will be applicable. Moreover, for validating the AP ICET Registration 2026, a registration fee of Rs. 750/-, Rs. 700/-, and Rs. 650/- has to be paid by the OC, BC, and SC / ST categories, respectively.
After the registration portal for the AP ICET 2026 closes, the conducting body will activate the correction window. Students will be able to make certain changes in the submitted application form under Category 1 & Category 2.
The questions of the test paper will be designed based on the subject matter mentioned in the curriculum for the AP ICET 2026. The test’s syllabus has been laid down by the exam conducting authority. The paper pattern for the AP ICET 2026 has been specified by the AU Visakhapatnam. Candidates should acquaint themselves with the test pattern to avoid making silly mistakes during the actual exam.
According to the AP ICET Exam Pattern 2026, the test will be held through online mode for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will comprise 3 sections which are Analytical Ability, Communication Ability, and Mathematical Ability wherein a total of 200 MCQs will be asked. For answering each of the questions correctly, appearing candidates will be awarded 1 mark and there will be no marks deducted in case of wrong answers.

* It is to be noted that the convener of the exam i.e., Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is authorised to allocate a different test centre to the students due to unforeseen events.
Applicants are advised to refer to the past year papers to improve their chances of securing desired marks in the AP ICET 2026. Solving the AP ICET Previous Year Question Papers on a regular basis can significantly help the students in honing their ability to apply the theoretical knowledge to accurately answer the questions. Nearly 3 days after the AP ICET 2026 is held, the conducting body will release the preliminary answer key on the official website. Students can go through the AP ICET Answer Key 2026 and evaluate their overall performance in the test. In case there is any variation in the answer key, candidates can raise objections against the same during the specified period by paying Rs. 300/- for each of the complaints raised.
If the objection is valid, the amount in such a case will be refunded to the concerned students. Furthermore, the decision made by the concerned Committee on the validity of objections raised will be considered as final and no further objections will be entertained.
The result for the AP ICET exam 2026 and ranks obtained by the students in the same will be announced after around 14 days of the exam date. Students can check their AP ICET Result 2026 and download the rank card by navigating to the official website i.e., ‘cets.apsche.ap.gov.in’. It is crucial for the aspirants to know that the ranks secured by them in the entrance test will be valid for the respective academic year only.
Moreover, the conducting authority has stated that students obtaining 25% marks i.e., 50 out of 200 marks in the AP ICET 2026 will be considered as qualified. However, there are no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for applicants belonging to the SC / ST categories and they will be ranked based on their merit marks in the test. If the aforementioned category students score negative marks after normalisation then in such a case, their total marks obtained will be treated as 0 (zero) and the rank will be given on the basis of those marks.
If 2 or more students have secured same marks in the AP ICET 2026, then the tie will be broken based on the following norms while preparing the merit list:
* If there is a tie between the students of SC / ST categories then it will be resolved based on their normalisation marks.
After the results of the State level test are declared, students have to fill the registration form for the AP ICET Counselling Process 2026 and upload the necessary documents. After this, verification of the submitted documents will be done. Then, candidates will be required to fill the web options wherein they have to choose the desired Institutions they wish to get admission in.
Post this, the AP ICET Seat Allotment 2026 to the respective program and educational Institution will be done based on students’ merit ranks in the AP ICET 2026 and other factors, as applicable.
