BITSAT 2026: Exam Date, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, and More

The BITSAT 2026 exam is scheduled to be held from 26th to 30th May 2026 (for Session I) & from 22nd to 26th June 2026 (for Session II). Students will be able to apply for Session I / both Sessions from 20th January 2026 till 18th April 2026 on ‘bitsadmission.com’. The exam conducting body will activate the BITSAT registration 2026 link only for the Session II from 26th May 2026 onwards till 10th June 2026.

BITS Pilani conducts the BITSAT, commonly known as Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. Through BITSAT 2026 which is a Computer Based Test, students can seek admission in different campuses of BITS Pilani such as Pilani, Hyderabad, and Goa.  Students who wish to appear in the exam must check the eligibility and register at the official website i.e., ‘bitsadmission.com’.

BITSAT exam 2026 is a University based – National Level Exam which is conducted twice a year. Students who wish to appear for BITSAT can secure admission in Integrated FD – First Degree Courses under three campuses of BITS Pilani.

Candidates need to fit into the BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria to start the registration process. Check out the below-stated points for the same:

• Qualified 10 + 2 with PCM & English and obtained at least 75% marks in aggregate and minimum 60% marks in each subject.

* For B.Pharm course, aspirants who have passed the qualifying examination either with PCM or PCB are eligible.

* Students who will be appearing for the qualifying examination in 2026 are considered eligible for the exam.

• No age restriction to apply for the exam.
• Both Indian Citizens and Non Indian Residents (NRIs) can register for BITSAT.

The BITSAT 2026 registration is expected to begin from 21st January 2026. Eligible candidates should fill the Online Application Form before the last date of the BITSAT exam. The registration dates for Session 1 & Session 2 are different. Students must complete the registrations before the expected last dates.

Following are the steps that should be followed by the candidates to fill in the details of the application form:

• To register for the exam, navigate the official website“bitsadmission.com”.
• Click on the Registration link and enter the required details like Candidate’s Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, etc.
• Once the registration is completed, an Application Number and Password will be sent to the applicants through Email and SMS.
• Now, log in with the credentials received and proceed towards filling the application form.

Afterwards, Submit the form and Pay the application fee.

To prepare well for the exam, candidates need to know about the BITSAT 2026 exam pattern. BITS Pilani will soon release the exam pattern for 2026, till then candidates can prepare as per the past year exam pattern.

BITSAT is an Online – Computer Based Test which comprises Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 4 answer choices. The BITSAT question paper will be of total 390 Marks. Moreover, there will be 2 sessions for the BITSAT exam.

As per the marking scheme of BITSAT, students will get 3 Marks for a right marked question and there will be negative marking of -1 Mark for every incorrect answer. Moreover, no marks will be deducted if any question is not attempted.

It is mandatory for the candidates to download the BISTAT 2026 Admit Card / Hall Ticket after the registration gets completed. Once the exam authorities release the admit card, students can access it from the BITSAT’s official website.  For Session 1, BITS Pilani will probably release the admit card in May 2026 and for Session 2, expectedly in June 2026.

On the exam day, candidates need to bring the printed copy of their admit card at the test centre; without this, candidates will not be able to appear in the exam. The admit card consists of important information about candidates like their name, roll number, test centre address, etc.

Exam centres include the various cities across India where the BITS Pilani will be conducting BITSAT 2026 exam. There are around 63 exam centres, out of which a candidate needs to select a maximum of 3 preferred cities while filling the application form. Candidates who are choosing Dubai as an exam centre cannot opt for any other centre.

• Students must carry their valid Photo Identity Card and Admit Card at the test centre for authentication.

The exam committee will declare the BITSAT 2026 result score immediately after the test is completed; candidates get the details of total numbers of correct & incorrect answers they have marked in the exam. These marks need to be submitted by the candidates to ensure that they have reviewed the result.

They need to visit the exam’s official website and login with their application number & password. Students must download their score card and save it for future reference. BITSAT score is mandatory to get admission in Integrated FD courses under BITS.

The BITSAT 2026 Cut Off list will be announced online by the exam authorities and it will be available at “bitsadmission.com”. The cut-off list will include the minimum marks which candidates require to get admission in the preferred course in their chosen campus. Students are advised to check the previous year cut-off list to get an idea about the average score they need to achieve in the exam.

Exam authorities consider some factors while preparing the cut-off list such as the number of candidates appearing in the exam, level of difficulty of BITSAT, highest marks scored by a candidate, previous year cut-off list, etc.

Students who have qualified the entrance exam need to take part in the BITSAT selection process to secure admission in the participating institutes. Counselling is a crucial part of the selection process and students get their seats allotted on its basis.

Candidates who will be participating in the selection / counselling process have to follow below-given steps to fill the form:

• Students have to register on the candidate’s portal by filling in details like the candidate's name, email, phone number, etc.
• Post registration, students need to login to fill the requisite details in the counselling form.
• Now, students have to submit their Class 12^th details.
• Afterwards, candidates can opt for their course and campuses according to their preference.

Once all the formalities are completed, students can check the seat allotment results online on the exam’s official website. It will be released as per the factors such as seats available, merit, etc.
