Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is an Online Remote Proctored exam which is conducted in 2 phases. The students can register / apply for Phase 1 till 1st May 2026 as the registration / application form is available on the official website. Candidates have to pay Rs.1000/- as an examination fee whether they are applying online or offline. In the online registration, students have to complete the payment process using any one of the below-mentioned modes:
However, in the offline registration process, candidates are required to visit the University campus to buy the CUCET Brochure including the application form by paying the specified fee amount.
As mentioned earlier, the exam is conducted in 2 phases and each phase is active for a specific time period i.e., Phase 1 from October 2025 to May 2026 and Phase 2 from June 2026 to till the end of admission. Candidates have to choose the active phase during the CUCET registration in order to appear for the test.
To register online for the CUCET Exam 2026 Phase 1, students can refer to the steps given-below:
Step 1: Go to the exam’s official website i.e., “cucet.cuchd.in”.
Step 2: Select the active phase of the exam.
Step 3: Enter the below-given details in the registration column present on the homepage of the exam’s official website:
Step 4: Now, select the discipline (Interested in).
Step 5: After successful registration, a User ID and Password will be sent via Email and SMS along with a confirmation message.
* Students can also use their registered Email ID as Username to login on the exam’s official website.
Step 6: After registration, login with the received credentials and download the e-prospectus by paying the specified application fee.
* Candidates should know that the e-prospectus includes the CUCET application form.

To apply offline, students need to obtain the CUCET Brochure cum application form from the admission office of the University/ authorised centres. The payment of the specified examination fee (Rs.1000/-) has to be done at the time of obtaining the application form.

Step 1: Navigate “cucet.cuchd.in”, the exam’s official website.
Step 2: Complete the registration same as above-specified in the Online mode registration procedure.
Step 3: A confirmation message will be sent through Email / SMS.
Step 4: Now, scratch the application form obtained from the University’ campus to get the Unique Number.
Step 4: Afterwards, fill the same unique number in the option available on the official website of the test.
Step 5: Enter all the required details in the CUCET application form 2026 same as above-mentioned in the online registration process.
Step 6: Now, opt for preferred exam date and time (as available) from the drop-down menu.
