The GIETEE Registration 2026 will probably begin in December 2025 for all the eligible candidates. Additionally, aspirants can apply via both online and offline modes likely till January 2026. No application fee is required to be paid for taking the entrance exam.
Students can register online for GIETEE 2026 through the exam conducting body’s official website. To apply offline, candidates can download the application form from ‘giet.edu’ or collect the same in-person from the University campus / Corporate or Zonal Offices. Afterwards, such applicants are supposed to fill and send the form in the provided envelope to ‘GIET University, Gunupur-765022, Odisha’ via speed / registered post before the deadline.
The concerned authority will begin the online slot booking process for GIETEE 2026 tentatively from March 2026; the slots will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates who have submitted the application form should book the desired slot within the stipulated time through the ‘Online Test Booking System’ available on the official website of GIET University (conducting body).
Applicants are supposed to select the test City / venue, date, and batch of the exam while booking the slot. In addition, confirmation regarding the same will be sent to the registered email ID of the students & any request for changes will not be permitted. Furthermore, the conducting body will automatically book a slot for the students who have not completed the slot booking process on the basis of the details filled in their application form.

GIET University (conducting authority) has prescribed the GIETEE Exam Pattern 2026. Applicants can appear in the entrance test through either online computer based test mode or offline pen & paper based mode. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes (2 hours).
The GIETEE 2026 question paper will comprise a total of 125 MCQs in English language only. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking done for the wrong answers. Applicants can expect the questions from the CBSE syllabus.
Once the students have completed the online slot booking process for the GIETEE 2026 via Online Test Booking System, their e-Admit card will be auto-generated and sent through email. The conducting authority will begin the common selection & GIETEE Counselling Process 2026 through a single window for all the B.Tech courses after a few days of the announcement of results. The number of qualified applicants will be kept more than the number of seats available.
Students who qualify the GIETEE 2026 / JEE Main / OJEE / PGAT Odisha / GATE / MAT / CMAT / CAT / XAT can appear for the counselling procedure. As per the regulations of the GIET University, 50% seats will be reserved for the students who have qualified GIETEE & the remaining seats will be allotted to those who have passed other requisite entrance tests.
Students should be informed that they will not be allowed to change the date / time of counselling unless it is unavoidable & permission regarding the same has been granted by the concerned authorities. In case candidates miss the counselling session then, their seat will be granted to the next applicant in the order of merit. The GIETEE Seat Allotment 2026 in the respective branches will be done only on the basis of merit. Once the branch has been allocated, it will not be changed under any circumstances.
