IMU CET Registration 2026 (Ongoing): How to Fill Application Form, Fees, Last Date, Documents

The IMU CET 2026 registrations are ongoing for all the eligible & interested students. Also, 24th April 2026 is the last date to register for the entrance examination.

The IMU CET 2026 exam will be conducted on 24th May 2026. To appear in the exam, applicants have to complete the IMU CET Registration 2026 and application process once the form will be released. The IMU CET is a national level exam conducted once a year by the Indian Maritime University (IMU).

In order to register / apply for the exam, students need to complete the process in 2 different parts that are Basic Registration and Detailed Registration. Follow the below-given process to register / apply for the IMU CET entrance exam:

Basic Registration

Before filling the application form aspirants of IMU CET have to register by following the below-given steps of Basic Registration:

• Navigate to the home page on the exam's official website “imu.edu.in”.
• Visit the “Apply Now” tab under the Admission section and click on ‘IMU CET 2026 - UG (B.Tech, B.Sc, DNS) and PG Programmes’.
• A new page will appear on the screen; click on ‘New Registration’ and follow the instructions.
• Complete the basic registration by carefully filling-in the asked details and submit the same.

* After the ‘Basic Registration’, an auto generated ‘Application Number and Password’ will be sent to the candidate’s registered Email ID.

Note: Already registered candidates can skip the above-mentioned steps and directly proceed for the login by following the below-given process of the ‘Detailed Registration’.

Detailed Registration

The candidates who have received their Application Number and Password can refer to the following steps of Detailed Registration in order to complete the application form of IMU CET:

• Click on the ‘Sign In’ tab and it will get redirected to the ‘User Login’ page.
• To log in, enter the ‘Application Number’ and Password with the security code. Then, tap the ‘Login’ button.
• Fill the online application form by entering all the required personal details.
• Afterwards, enter the asked qualification details in the application form.
• Upload the scanned images of photograph & signature and other required documents according to the specified format.
• After completing the above-steps, pay the applicable application fees through the online mode.
• After successfully submitting the form and making payment, aspirants can take the print out of the filled application form for future reference.

* Those candidates who forgot their Application Number / Password can retrieve it by visiting the ‘Forgot Password’ option given on the login page. The relevant information regarding the Application Number / Password will be sent to the candidate’s registered E-Mail ID.

Following are documents that are required while filling the IMU CET application form 2026:

• Passport size photograph
• Signature of the candidate
• 10^th Standard Mark Sheet
• 12^th Standard Mark Sheet & UG Degree Mark Sheet / Certificate (wherever applicable)
• Category Certificate for SC / ST / OBC (NCL)
• Economically Weaker Section Certificate for General-EWS Candidates
• NCC Certificate (if applicable)
• Special State / Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
• MEO-I / COC Certificate (Applicable for M.Tech candidates who are Seafarers)

Instructions to Upload the Documents

At the time of IMU CET Registration 2026, candidates have to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in JPG / JPEG format only. Other required documents need to be uploaded in the PDF or JPEG / JPG format.

Here are some important points that students must consider at the time of applying for the IMU CET:

• For successful registration, candidates have to complete both ‘Basic Registration’ and ‘Detailed Registration’ process. Only basic registration will not be considered as final registration / application of IMU CET.
• Regarding the registration fee, students have to pay the Bank service charges / payment gateway charges for online payment transactions (if applicable).
• No changes are allowed to be done after the final submission of the application form and payment of application fees. If the students want to make any changes, they need to start the process again. The students have to pay a registration fee every time they apply for the exam.
• In case a candidate has registered for more than once, then only his / her latest registration will be considered by the exam authority.
• On behalf of IMU, the Andaman & Nicobar Administration will conduct a CET separately for UG (Technical Courses) only for the natives of Andaman & Nicobar Islands (domiciled for at least five years). However, the candidates belonging to Andaman & Nicobar Islands who want to join M.Tech / MBA must register for IMU-CET.
