The KMAT 2026 Registration process for Session 1 & 2 can be completed through the official website i.e., ‘kmatindia.com’ only. To confirm the candidature for the entrance test, the applicants are supposed to pay Rs. 873/- (including GST) as the exam fee.
* Students who are planning to take the entrance test for both MBA & MCA need to register separately for the same.
The KMAT 2026 Syllabus will be designed & issued by the exam conducting body i.e., Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association (KPPGCA) on the official website. Applicants are expected to thoroughly follow the curriculum since the questions will be based on the topics given therein.
The syllabus for the KMAT 2026 comprises 3 distinct sections, each of which further contains several topics. The sections are as follows:
The entrance test will be conducted for a duration of 120 minutes through online-home based remote proctored test mode. In accordance with the KMAT 2026 Exam Pattern, the test paper will comprise 3 sections including Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Quantitative Ability (QA), and Logical Reasoning (LR) / Basic Aptitude.
The appearing candidates will have to attempt a total of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) wherein 1 mark will be granted for every right response. However, no marks will be deducted for wrong responses. Furthermore, there will be no sectional time limit for the students during the KMAT Karnataka 2026.
The conducting authority i.e., KPPGCA will issue the KMAT 2026 Admit Card on the official website a few days before the exam date. The hall ticket will be accessible to the candidates who have applied for the exam & paid the requisite fee.
* In case, students have applied for both MBA & MCA of the test, a separate admit card will be issued to them.
The aspiring students are suggested to attempt KMAT Previous Year Question Papers to improve their overall preparation for the entrance test. Solving the last few years’ papers can significantly benefit the students in many ways like preparing necessary strategies to attempt the question paper, efficient time management, evaluating & working on the strengths & weaknesses, and so on.
Moreover, applicants are advised to take the KMAT 2026 Mock Test a few days before the exam to build their confidence, and gain familiarity with the test format & the exam environment. The conducting authority will activate the link for attempting the practise test a few days prior the exam date.
The KMAT 2026 Result will be announced on ‘kmatindia.com’ in a few days’ time by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association (conducting body). The result of the entrance examination will be available in the form of a score card that will comprise the net scores & percentile obtained by the candidates.
The participating Institutions will prepare a merit list & cut-off after the result of the KMAT 2026 is released. The shortlisted students will be then required to attend the KMAT 2026 Counselling & other selection rounds as applicable for the respective Institutions.
After this, a final merit list will be prepared and the KMAT 2026 Seat Allotment will be done based on the merit marks of students in Karnataka KMAT exam & other selection rounds.
The KMAT 2026 marks will be accepted in the AICTE approved Universities and its affiliated Self-Financing Colleges in Karnataka. Students obtaining a valid score in the entrance test will be eligible for admissions in the MBA, PGDM, and MCA courses offered at the KMAT 2026 Participating Colleges; the list of the same is given below:
