Manipal Entrance Exam (MET) is held by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The exam is held for offering admission in the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated Programs (IP), PG Certificate, Diploma, PGDM, Advanced PG Diploma, Ph.D Programs, Lateral Entry, etc. like B.Tech, BBA, M.Sc (Clinical Psychology), M.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, etc. in the constituent units of MAHE.

MET 2026 will be conducted in 3 phases. MET exam date 2026 for the 1st phase is expected to be 18th April 2026 & 19th April 2026 and the 2nd phase will be conducted probably on 12th May 2026. The tentative date for the 3rd phase is yet to be announced. Phase 1 will be conducted in 2 time slots.

For B.Tech
As per the exam pattern, there will be 2 types of questions asked namely, MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) & NAT (Numerical Answer Type) which will be for a total of 240 marks. There will be a total of 60 questions overall including the subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. For MCQs, -1 mark for every wrong answer will be subtracted. There will be no negative marking for unanswered questions.
For BBA
The test will be of 400 total marks wherein, students will be required to answer 100 MCQs overall in the subjects such as Numeracy, Conceptual, English, General Awareness, and Reading Comprehension. There will be -1 negative marking for each incorrect answer and no negative marking for unattempted questions.

After submitting the Registration Form, students are required to book their preferred slots for the 1st / 2nd attempt. MAHE will open the window for MET 2026 Slot Booking wherein applicants will be required to book their preferred Date & Batch they wish to take the MET 2026 Entrance Test on. * Here, “Payment for 2nd attempt” will be displayed on the screen for candidates who are booking the slot for 2nd attempt. Here, the students will have to make the necessary payment & later book the slot.

MET 2026 exam will be conducted by MAHE i.e., Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
The registration window for 1st phase of the MET exam 2026 will tentatively remain open till 28th March 2026.
Students who will qualify the MET Entrance Test will be eligible to take admission in the constituent units of MAHE- Manipal Academy of Higher Education, which are present in multiple locations, all over India.
While filling in the registration form for the MET exam, candidates can select 3 exam centres in the order of their preference.
MET 2026 test will be held via online CBT (Computer Based Test) mode, wherein students will be required to answer MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type) format of questions, as applicable according to the respective programs.
As per the guidelines of MAHE, students must carry a hardcopy of e-hall ticket, and a valid identity card (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Passport / ECI Voter ID Card / Driving License / School or College photo bearing ID card) to the MET test centre on the exam day.
Students who have applied for MET 2026 before the registration due date can apply for the 2nd attempt in Phase 2. For this, additional Rs. 1400/- are required to be paid.
