

The Symbiosis International (Deemed to be University) has released the notification for SET exam 2026 on 12th December 2026. The SET exam date 2026 will be conducted on 2nd May 2026 (Test 1) and 10th May 2026 (Test 2). The SIU Pune (conducting body) has begun the SET Exam registration 2026 on 12th December 2026. Additionally, to appear in the exam students can register / apply and pay the registration fee before the last date which is 15th April 2026.
Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) was formerly known as SET-General. The exam is conducted via online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for offering admission to the qualifying students in the Undergraduate Programs. The Entrance Test will be conducted in approximately 68 cities all over India.

The SET Exam is popularly known as Symbiosis Entrance Test, that is conducted by SIU - Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Students qualifying the exam will be eligible for admission in the Undergraduate Hons. or Hons. with Research Programs like BBA, B.Sc, B.A, BCA, etc. in multiple specialisations that are offered by the constituent units of the conducting body i.e., the Symbiosis International (Deemed to be University).
The SET Exam 2026 will be held for a period of 60 minutes in English medium. Aspirants can take the SET Exam in both the sessions. However, in this case, the higher score will be considered as the final percentile of the candidates. The score card of the Symbiosis SET Exam will be considered valid only for the academic year 2026-27, respectively.

Aspirants must ensure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria of the SET Exam 2026 before proceeding for the SET Exam 2026 Registration. The conducting body has opened the portal for registration. Students should apply for the entrance test before the specified last date to be considered eligible for the test.
Applicants can register themselves online through the official website i.e., “set-test.org”. Students simply need to enter the details asked on the web page and then complete the registration by generating an OTP using a mobile number. After this, candidates will receive an email consisting their SET ID & Password. They can then proceed to fill the Application Form.
At the end, students are required to pay an Entrance Test Registration Fee of Rs. 2250/- per test, if chosen. Additionally, they will be required to pay the Program Registration Fee of Rs. 1000/- per program they wish to apply for.
*It is to be noted that the Symbiosis SET Exam Program Registration Fee is non-transferable & non-refundable. Students can pay the fee via Payment Gateway / Demand Draft.

The syllabus for the SET exam 2026 is designed & released by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) on the official website of the entrance test. Aspirants must follow the syllabus while preparing as it will help them easily understand the exam pattern and achieve good marks in the SET 2026 exam.

According to the SET Exam 2026 Paper Pattern, there will be 4 sections in the SET Exam 2026 question paper. The sections are General English, Quantitative, General Awareness, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. It is mandatory for the students to attempt all the sections.
The Symbiosis SET Exam will be conducted for a duration of 60 minutes through online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. There will be a total of 60 questions asked, each carrying 1 mark, making a total of 60 maximum marks. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

* The capacity of the test centres is limited. Students are advised to choose the desired exam centre wisely as no request for changes in these centres will be allowed after registration.
* The test centre is allotted to the candidates based on the date of payment. Those who have paid the Registration Fee earlier are more likely to get the test centre of their choice
Appearing candidates are supposed to follow certain guidelines on the day of SET exam 2026 that is regulated by the conducting body, Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Those who will not follow the below mentioned guidelines / instructions may be disqualified & will not be allowed to appear for the exam. The guidelines are:
* If the student has applied for multiple tests, he / she must carry separate Admit Cards for each entrance test. The Admit Card of the candidates will be authenticated & verified against the identity card by an authorized person on the exam day.
* Soft copies of the identity card will not be accepted.

The exam conducting authority will declare the SET Exam 2026 results in the form of a scorecard. Students who took the test can access their SET Exam 2026 Result by navigating the official website i.e., ‘set-test.org’.
While calculating the final percentile, the higher marks will be considered for those who have appeared in both the sessions of SET exam. Additionally, the SET 2026 exam scores will be valid only for academic session 2026-27.
Moreover, while shortlisting the students for admission, a separate merit list will be prepared for each of the academic courses. Furthermore, category-wise SET Exam 2026 Cut Off will be declared for the merit list & wait list on the official website of the respective participating Institutes.
Candidates qualifying the SET Exam 2026 will further be required to attend the SET Exam 2026 Counselling and other admission / selection rounds (as applicable). The selection rounds include Personal Interaction (PI) / Writing Ability Test (WAT) / Group Discussion (GD) / Studio Test (ST) / other criteria depending on the decision of the concerned Institutes’ authorities.
The SET Exam 2026 Seat Allotment will be done separately for each of the courses by every participating Institute. In case, a student has been shortlisted for admission in more than one course then they are supposed to appear for the selection rounds for all the respective programs separately.

The Symbiosis SET Exam is a University Level Test that is conducted once a year to offer admission to the qualifying students in the UG programs (Hons. / Hons. with Research) such as B.A, B.Sc, BBA, BCA and Dual Degree of BBA in various specialisations offered by the constituent institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed to be University).
