TG EdCET 2025 is a state-level entrance examination for students aspiring to take admissions in the two-year B.Ed Courses in the institutes of Telangana State. The exam is popularly known as Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET).
The exam TG EdCET, earlier known as TS EdCET, is a computer-based test (CBT) for aspirants who wish to choose the profession of teaching. It is because B.Ed is required for becoming a teacher, and to get admission in B.Ed course in the top institutes of Telangana, a good score of TG EdCET is required.

TS EdCET / TG EdCET exam is expected to be conducted in the month of May 2025. The exam will be conducted in two sessions. Both the sessions will have timings of 2 hours each. On the exam date, the candidate can appear for any of these two sessions available.

The exam paper is designed with an aim of assessing the teaching potential and aptitude of the appearing students. The paper pattern is formed by the authorities in a way that only the students who have the standard abilities can qualify the exam so that the Telangana state can get the best educators.
As per the TS EdCET / TG EdCET exam pattern 2025, there are a total 150 questions, carrying one mark each. There will be a total of 5 sections from which the first section will include 10th class based questions from Maths, Science, and Social studies. There will be a total of 60 questions in this section, 20 from each subject.
In further sections, teaching aptitude and general English will have 20 questions each which means 40 MCQs in total. The GK section will comprise 30 questions and at last, 20 MCQs from computer awareness. The candidate will get two hours (120 minutes) to complete all the questions.

The conducting body of the exam releases the answer key of the actual exam paper on the official website. Once the exam is over, the results are announced, the TG EdCET counselling process will begin for candidates who have passed the exam. The students need to register for Counselling after clearing the exam. The dates for Counselling will be released by the conducting body of TGEdCET 2025.
Once the Counselling registrations will be closed, the authorities will conduct the counselling and then a provisional list of verified candidates will be released online on the official website. The qualified & verified students will be allotted with colleges as per the merit and interest. The selected students will need to report at the respective colleges for the final document verification and formalities.
The TG EdCET Seat Allotment will be done on the basis of reserved seat criteria set by the authorities for this exam. As per the defined criteria, 85% seats are reserved for the local candidates and other 15% seats are unreserved.
Once the candidates apply for counselling, the authorities allot them seats after verification. The seat allotment for TG EdCET exam will be done in around three phases. Once the process of counselling and seat allotment is done, candidates must report to their allotted college for further verification within the specified period.
