TG EdCET 2025 is a state-level entrance examination for students aspiring to take admissions in the two-year B.Ed Courses in the institutes of Telangana State. The exam is popularly known as Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET).

The exam TG EdCET, earlier known as TS EdCET, is a computer-based test (CBT) for aspirants who wish to choose the profession of teaching. It is because B.Ed is required for becoming a teacher, and to get admission in B.Ed course in the top institutes of Telangana, a good score of TG EdCET is required.

TS EdCET / TG EdCET exam is expected to be conducted in the month of May 2025. The exam will be conducted in two sessions. Both the sessions will have timings of 2 hours each. On the exam date, the candidate can appear for any of these two sessions available.

The exam paper is designed with an aim of assessing the teaching potential and aptitude of the appearing students. The paper pattern is formed by the authorities in a way that only the students who have the standard abilities can qualify the exam so that the Telangana state can get the best educators.

As per the TS EdCET / TG EdCET exam pattern 2025, there are a total 150 questions, carrying one mark each. There will be a total of 5 sections from which the first section will include 10^th class based questions from Maths, Science, and Social studies. There will be a total of 60 questions in this section, 20 from each subject.

In further sections, teaching aptitude and general English will have 20 questions each which means 40 MCQs in total. The GK section will comprise 30 questions and at last, 20 MCQs from computer awareness. The candidate will get two hours (120 minutes) to complete all the questions.

TS EdCET / TG EdCET is a state-level exam, but its preparation needs to be very strong as the exam paper set by the authorities is considered tough. Below listed are some TG EdCET Preparation tips for candidates aspiring to enrol for B.Ed courses in Telangana and preparing for this entrance test:

• First of all, the candidates need to go through the detailed syllabus of the TGEdCET 2025 exam to develop an understanding of what subjects and topics are included.
• While checking the syllabus, the students should make a list of scoring topics which need to be prepared well and side topics which do not require much time.
• Along with having a deep understanding of the syllabus, the candidates must understand the TG EdCET 2025 exam pattern. It will help them understand the weightage of each section and the marking scheme.

To download the TG EdCET Previous Year Question Papers, students must follow the below-given steps:

• Visit the official website i.e., edcet.tsche.ac.in.
• Look for the option ‘Model Question Paper with Preliminary Key’ and click on it.
• A new page will appear where candidates can see the model papers of both the shifts. Click on the paper which needs to be downloaded.
• Once the model papers are downloaded, save these for future reference.

The purpose of Mock tests is to make the candidates’ understanding of the exam better. Once the preparation is done, in the last few days before the exam, candidates can take mock tests on the official website. It will help them understand the type of questions that will be there in the actual exam paper of TG EdCET exam 2025.

Once the authorities make the TG EdCET Mock Test available, to access the same, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

• Visit edcet.tsche.ac.in, which is the official website.
• Navigate the ‘Mock Test’ option on the home page. A new page will open once the candidate clicks on the mock test option.
• Enter the Login credentials to access the Mock Tests for TG EdCET.

The conducting body of the exam releases the answer key of the actual exam paper on the official website. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to check their correct and incorrect answers which they have attempted on the exam day. The authorities also provide the option to candidates to raise an objection if they find any incorrect answers in the official key.

The authorities will release the answer key for the upcoming TG EdCET exam tentatively in June 2025. To download the TG EdCET Answer Key, first, the candidates need to visit the official website. Then, look for the option of ‘Answer Key’. After clicking on it, they need to enter their Admit card / Hall ticket number along with their DOB. Once it is done, they will be able to check and download the available answer key for TG EdCET exam 2025.

The exam cut-off represents the minimum marks candidates need to score in order to pass the exam. The category-wise cut-off will be released by the authorities after the TG EdCET 2025 exam. Those who match the marks specified in the cut-off list will be eligible for the further process of B.Ed admissions in top colleges of Telangana.

The cut-off list or merit list of TS EdCET / TG EdCET exam will need to be downloaded by the candidates to ensure whether they have cleared the exam or not. Candidates can access the cut-off list on the official website once it will be released on the official website.

The TG EdCET result will be announced on the official website i.e., edcet.tsche.ac.in. The authorities will declare the results of all the candidates who have appeared for the exam. The results for the upcoming TG EdCET exam will be declared tentatively in July 2025.

To check the result of TGEdCET exam 2025, candidates can follow the below-listed steps:

• Visit the official website and navigate the ‘Download Rank Card’ button.
• Enter the correct credentials including candidate’s hall ticket number & DOB.
• Click on the ‘View Rank Card’ option to check the results.
• Students can download and print their TGEdCET rank card for future use.

Once the exam is over, the results are announced, the TG EdCET counselling process will begin for candidates who have passed the exam. The students need to register for Counselling after clearing the exam. The dates for Counselling will be released by the conducting body of TGEdCET 2025.

Once the Counselling registrations will be closed, the authorities will conduct the counselling and then a provisional list of verified candidates will be released online on the official website. The qualified & verified students will be allotted with colleges as per the merit and interest. The selected students will need to report at the respective colleges for the final document verification and formalities.

The TG EdCET Seat Allotment will be done on the basis of reserved seat criteria set by the authorities for this exam. As per the defined criteria, 85% seats are reserved for the local candidates and other 15% seats are unreserved.

Once the candidates apply for counselling, the authorities allot them seats after verification. The seat allotment for TG EdCET exam will be done in around three phases. Once the process of counselling and seat allotment is done, candidates must report to their allotted college for further verification within the specified period.
