

The conducting body i.e., Osmania University, has released the official notification for the TS / TG PGLCET test for the academic year 2026-27 on 8th February 2026. The exam date for the TG PGLCET 2026 is scheduled to be held from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM on 18th May 2026.
The registration for the TS PGLCET 2026 has started from 10th February 2026. Interested candidates can visit ‘lawcet.tgche.ac.in’ and apply for the entrance test (without late fee) before the deadline which is 1st April 2026.
The TG PGLCET, also known as TS PGLCET is conducted annually for filling the admission seats of the Postgraduate program in Law. The State level test is held through online mode across multiple test zones across Telangana.

Aspiring candidates should know that it is compulsory to register on ‘lawcet.tgche.ac.in’ to be permitted to appear for the TG PGLCET 2026. Along with this, Rs. 1100/- for OC and BC category and Rs. 900/- for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped category has to be paid during the TG PGLCET Registration 2026 through online mode of payment. After the last date of the registration, the application portal will remain open for a few days; however, late fee shall be applicable.
Following this, the conducting body will open the correction window for approximately 6 days. Students will be able to modify certain permissible previously submitted details under Category 1 (via a written request to the Convener) and Category 2 (only during the designated period).
The curriculum for the TG PGLCET 2026 designed by the convening body i.e., TGCHE is divided into Part A and Part B. Both these parts are further classified into different sections that are to be studied by the applicants. The test pattern for the TS PGLCET 2026 designed by the convening body states that the exam will be conducted through online CBT mode in a single session. The duration of the exam will be 1 hour & 30 minutes and the medium of instructions will be in English only. In accordance with the TG PGLCET Exam Pattern 2026, students have to attempt a total of 120 MCQs wherein each of the questions will carry 1 mark. Also, there will be no negative marking done for incorrect responses.
The test paper will comprise 2 parts namely, Part A & Part B containing 40 and 80 questions, respectively. Part A will include questions from Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law, while Part B will cover subjects like Public & Private International Law, Business & Corporate Laws, Labour Law, Crimes & Torts, and Other Allied Laws.
The hall ticket for the TG / TS PGLCET 2026 will be made available to the applicants around 6 days before the exam on ‘lawcet.tgche.ac.in’. Students should be informed that the admit card will not be sent by Post or any other means. The TG PGLCET Admit Card 2026 will contain crucial information about the applicant, exam time, address of the allocated centre, instructions to follow on test day, etc. Students are supposed to carry the hall ticket to the exam centre for verification purposes or else entry will not be allowed.
* It is to be noted that the admit card is non-transferrable. Also, if the hall ticket is found to be damaged / altered then the concerned candidate will be automatically disqualified and be liable for prosecution.
Osmania University will conduct the TG PGLCET 2026 in online mode across 16 test zones, comprising multiple exam centre locations in Telangana State. Students can select 3 desired TG PGLCET Exam Centres 2026 in the order of priority during the application process. The regional centre locations will be displayed in the exam form on the basis of availability of seats and will be disabled once the maximum capacity has reached.

* Aspiring candidates should be informed that once the preferred exam centre is chosen & submitted, no further requests for change in the same will be entertained. Apart from this, the Convener maintains the right to add / delete some of the exam centres or allot a different centre than the opted ones to the applicants under unusual circumstances.

This practise can considerably help the students in revising the entire syllabus efficiently and in evaluating their overall level of preparation for the TG PGLCET 2026. The preliminary answer key of the TG PGLCET 2026 will be released on ‘lawcet.tgche.ac.in’ (official website) around 5 days after the exam. Students can access the TG PGLCET Answer Key 2026 and check their marked responses to calculate their potential scores. In case there is any contrariety in the answer key, candidates can raise objections against the same by paying Rs. 500/- for each of the concerned questions before the deadline.
If the objection is found to be valid then the requisite fee will be refunded within 7 days from the date of result declaration. Eventually, the final answer key will be released after some days of the specified period of raising objections against the answer key.
The TG PGLCET Result 2026 will be published on ‘lawcet.tgche.ac.in’. Students who appeared for the test can download their rank card by logging in at the student portal. Candidates will be ranked in the merit list based on their marks in the TG / TS PGLCET exam 2026. Moreover, applicants should be informed that no requests will be accepted for re-totalling / revaluation / personal identification of scripts.
* Candidates should know that the score & rank obtained by them will be valid for the respective academic year i.e., 1 year only.
The cut-off / qualifying mark for the TG / TS PGLCET 2026 specified is 25%. This implies that students who have secured 30 marks or above out of 120 will be considered as passed. However, no cut-off marks are stated for those belonging to SC / ST category.

After the results of the TG PGLCET 2026 are published, the admission notification / counselling schedule will be released on the official website. Along with this, the list of accepting Colleges & Universities and their respective sanctioned intake will also be provided online.
The qualifying students have to attend the TG PGLCET Counselling Process 2026 at the notified centre as per schedule and meet all the requisite requirements, as applicable. Apart from this, candidates should ensure that they have passed LL.B before counselling.
Post this, the TG PGLCET Seat Allotment 2026 will be done based on the rank obtained by the applicants in the State level entrance test. Moreover, the admission will be granted to the students according to the norms of the respective participating University, Bar Council of India (BCI), TGCHE, and other relevant Government Orders (GO) of Telangana.
Candidates who have passed TG PGLCET and have completed their higher education up to 3 / 5-year LL.B from another State are ineligible to seek admission under the Convener Quota. Instead, such students will be offered admission under the National Integration Quota (NIQ) / Management Quota. Also, for NIQ / Management Quota, separate counselling will be held in the participating Institutions.
