An honest review of Dyal College

Overall Rating
My overall experience in Dyal Singh evening college, University of Delhi is pretty amazing. It is one of the prestigious colleges of Delhi University. Right now, I am doing my B.Com (Hons.) degree from Dyal Singh. The quality of education they provide here is remarkable. One of the best about this college is its location which makes it even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it to the students from commerce background to undoubtedly choose it for their further studies.
 

Academics Rating
B.Com (Hons.) is a very popular degree among commerce students. Unlike B.Com (program), it provides in depth knowledge of commerce. The eligibility for this particular course is that you have to give CUET entrance exam and score good marks. You should have cleared your 12th board from commerce stream. I chose this particular program because I want to make my career in finance, and I think that this degree will surely bring me one step closer to my dream.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are well qualified. Most of the teachers are Ph.D holders and acquire great knowledge about their specific subject but majority of them follows the old school method of teaching which sometimes makes the subject boring that results in making the lecture unbearable. Therefore, sometimes it leads to large number of absentees.
 

Placement Rating
Dyal Singh do have a placement cell but to be honest I haven't heard any student getting a job or something from it.
 

Hostel Rating
No, Dyal Singh do not have residential facilities, therefore students prefer to rent a PG or flat near college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Dyal Singh is basically divided into morning block and evening block. Morning block is a yellow old building whereas evening block are newly constructed and is further divided into two, one is SPS block, and the other is NAB building. The college also has basketball court, amphitheater, canteen, separate NCC ground, auditorium and library also which are common for all the morning and evening students.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, studying in Dyal Singh is quite exciting. The prime location of Dyal Singh is also a plus point there are many places near college which are worth exploring like Lodhi Garden, Humayun Tomb, etc. All the people whether it is administration, teaching staff or students, all are very friendly and helpful. Many societies are also there, they conduct fests and events which makes college life even more memorable.

    Dyal Singh Evening College is a college that comes under Delhi University, located in a posh area on Lodhi Road.     It gives you a school vibe sometimes. As for now 67% attendance is made mandatory to allow us to sit in examination. Rest of everything is nice. Teachers are very cooperative.     The college is very good and has a good infrastructure. I am getting a great experience since I have joined the college as there is free Wi-Fi, a huge, air-conditioned Library and a big playground with volleyball court and a cricket pitch.
