Mithibai College of Arts Mumbai was Established in 1961

It is a very nice College that provides many opportunities for networking and building connections. It also offers a great campus life and the crowd is also decent. Anti-Ragging Cell is also active at the Mithibai College of Arts Mumbai campus. It was started its operations in 1961. It is a College, which forces you to push your limits and become better person.

I am a 2nd year student of BMS, specialising in Finance as I wanted to explore the Finance field and try to understand the world. The eligibility criteria to get admission in the College is to pass CET examination with cut-off at 99+ percentile so it is hard to get in as a lot of competition. Exams are conducted in a semester wise pattern and there are internal continuous assessments taken at regular intervals. Skill-based courses are also offered including MYSQL, SAP, and Advanced excel so that we can learn better as these are skills expected by companies a lot so it’s helpful for sure.

Fee structure of the College is very decent compared to other courses. We had to pay Rs. 75,800/- for first year and Rs. 75,000/- for second year. Discounts and scholarships are also available for reserved category students.

The faculty members are well versed in their subjects and are the best teachers for their subjects. They have studied from renowned Colleges & also have real-life experiences. We are taught on our smart boards which is very user-friendly and convenient. The faculty is very helpful when you need assistance in subjects. They will give you personal attention whenever required too so you are sorted there. The teachers are friendly and sometimes strict too but if you follow rules well, you will enjoy with them too. The examinations are ranging from difficulty level medium to hard though so be prepared for that because you need to work very hard.

The Training and Placement Cell of Mithibai College of Arts Mumbai is very helpful and provides us with great opportunities in our field. We have gotten opportunities from JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, and many other companies. Internship is also available for the students.

The infrastructure is fine but could use some renovation work done as it is a little old. Otherwise, the classrooms are well ventilated and well equipped. The canteen also has a wide-range of food options, which is genuinely delectable and good quality along with maintaining hygiene. There is a gymkhana available on the 6th floor that has facilities for games like Carom, Table Tennis, Chess and many more. Library is also quite spacious with a wide range of books and other study resources.

Overall campus life has been very fun and I have made some great friends. The crowd is very decent, well mannered and cool as well. There are entrepreneurship cell, Rotaract club, and different committees for sports, cultural, theatre/drama, and more. They give us assignments which involves us going out in the field and interviewing actual entrepreneurs on their journey, which gives us a lot of insightful conversations and things to learn and take away which is the best for my course honestly. If I talk about fests then who has not heard about the headlining fest of Mithibai called ‘Kshitij’.
