Mithibai College Mumbai's Placements: Workshops, Counseling, and Recruiters

My experience in Mithibai College has been amazing so far. I chose this because it is one of the best colleges in Mumbai and has a great reputation. The college life is best here, because of the fests, events and activities you get to participate in. The college campus is always lively with some or the other event going on in the college. The college focuses on academics as well as extracurricular. The teachers here are highly qualified and experienced. They are friendly, approachable and always ready to help.

I am currently pursuing BMS because I am interested to study Management. For enrolling in other courses, 12th boards percentage is enough but for BMS you are supposed to appear for MAH BBA BMS CET (eligibility criteria is completing 10+2) and the selection will be on the basis of percentile you sore in the test. My admission process in the college was stress free as the teachers were very helpful. In this course, you will have to appear for internal continuous assessment (40 marks for major and 20 marks for minor subjects) each semester and an end semester examination (60 marks for major and 30 marks for minor subjects).

The fee for my course was Rs. 49,500 for first year. The fees details include fees for library, laboratory, examination, gymkhana etc. SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, SBC students may get fee concessions or scholarships based on government schemes.

The teachers are well qualified and experienced. Some are holding master's degree, some PhDs and many of them have years of teaching experience in the subjects they teach. Faculty uses mix of teaching methods like case studies, group discussions, power point presentations, etc. They use whiteboard as well as smart board to teach effectively. The teachers solve doubts and difficulties well. They are patient in clearing doubts. The student-teacher ratio is reasonably good as 1 teacher teaches a class of 60 students in BMS.

The placement cell in my college is very strong as it attracts really good firms for campus placements some of them are: JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, etc. The placement cell conducts workshops, career counseling, internship opportunities and on-campus recruitment.

Mithibai College does not have its own on-campus hostel. However, there are some good private hostels and PG accommodations near the college for both boys and girls.

Mithibai College is located in Vile Parle West, Mumbai. The college has several academic blocks dedicated to different streams like Commerce, Arts, Science and Management. There are several classrooms some can accommodate 50-60 students and some can accommodate 100-120 students. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards as well as whiteboards with CCTV cameras in the class. The college offers a big library, Labs, Seminar Hall, auditorium, conference room, etc. There are 3 canteens in the building each offering tasty and hygienic meals.

The campus is always lively as there is always something happening. The crowd is diverse and friendly. You meet people from different backgrounds, courses and even states! There are many clubs like NSS, Green club, DLLE, etc. There is also a sports committee for the ones who are interested in sports and similarly there is Mithibai Cultural Committee (MCC), which has various teams like the dance team, music team, fashion team, drama team, etc. The college organizes debates, guest lectures, sports activities, annual talent search, etc. The fests are the soul of this college. ‘Kshitij’ is one of the best cultural festivals in Mumbai. ‘Finanza’, ‘Reclamo’ and ‘Numéro are also some famous fests of this college. Overall, my experience has been amazing so far, it is a place where you can grow and enjoy your college life fully.
