There is an Anti-Ragging Committee at Mithibai College of Arts Mumbai

My experience at this College has been very decent so far. In fact, the College life is the best here. Not just because of the various, exciting fests, events and activities here, but because of the people here. I must say that the crowd is amazing and lively. You'll find ambitious and decent mates here. The faculties are highly qualified, approachable, and friendly. If you're someone who's a student-athlete like me, this College is one of the nicest choices you'll make and never regret about.

I am currently pursuing BMS as it's a Management course, which I always wanted to do. For enrolling in this course, one is required to appear for the MAH BBA BMS CET (after completing 10+2), and based on your score/percentile, a College is allotted. Once you've been allotted the College, based on your preference, its management will help you with rest of the things. From a personal POV, my admission process was very smooth. In this program, we have to appear for the ICA (Internal Continuous Assessments), which of 10 marks for each subject, 3 internal (scores of best 2 will be considered), and final exams. There will also be presentations & assignments for every subject. I personally like preparing projects and presenting it in front of crowd. It also will help in improving your public speaking skills.

The fee for my course was Rs.75,000/- for the first year. The fee details include charges like laboratory, library, gymkhana, examination, etc. There are concessions/scholarships for categories like SC, ST, OBC, etc. based on Government schemes.

Faculties are highly qualified and experienced in their field of knowledge. Most of them have Ph.D degree. Their teaching methods depend on the subject/concept. For example, case studies (real world scenarios) for a subject called Entrepreneurship Management, group discussions for Workplace Psychology, etc. Generally, they use whiteboards, PPTs, and smart boards. 1:60 is the teacher to student ratio for an average BMS Class. Highly approachable, even for personal stuff, and very caring.

Placement Cell of the College is strong as it is connected with very renowned firms for campus placement, like JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, and Barclays. Activities like workshops, counselling, seminars, and much more are conducted for the students. Students are also provided with Internships as well.

Mithibai College of Arts is located in Vile Parle West, Mumbai (very close to the railway station). The entire 9-story building is home to multiple streams - Colleges (like UPG, PGCL, NMIMS architecture, etc). All the classrooms are equipped with ACs, smart boards, whiteboards, CCTVs, etc. and can accommodate 50 to 60 students easily. Due to space constraints, there’s no outdoor sports ground, but the College has a well-equipped indoor gymkhana on the 6th floor. The College offers big libraries (ground and 2nd floor, as of my knowledge), labs, seminar hall, auditorium, conference room, cubicles for committees, and canteen.

Honestly speaking, I’ve evolved a lot because of this College. I have developed public speaking skills, learned networking, created friendships & connections. The crowd is nice and decent. You have to explore to meet your people. There are a lot of clubs, units, and committees like NSS, Green Club, Sports Committee, and Cultural Committee. The College also has an Anti-Ragging Committee to ensure that students are facing any kind of bullying or ragging issues. There are amazing fests- Kshitij (the ultimate best). I am currently HOD at the IICM (which is institution's Innovation Council of Mithibai). Overall, my experience has been amazing so far.
