Central University of South Bihar M.Sc Review By Asim Sarkar

When I attended the "CUET 2022" examination to take admission in a central university, I was hoping that I would get admitted in BHU. But for its higher cut off marks I took admission in "central university of South Bihar" in M.Sc Chemistry course and I was unaware of the institute. But after coming here I can surely say that my choice is far better than my expectations. People gradually know about our university as it is over passing other universities in performance. And recently the "NAAC A++" grade makes it among the only nine central universities in India to hold this grade.

Lots of courses under various streams are taught here. And for different streams different academic blocks are there in campus. along with the common courses some interdisciplinary and other courses I can mention-Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Geology, Pharmacy, Humanities, Social Science, LLB, LLM, and many others and specially BA/B.Sc/B.Ed course is also available. One can take admission after bachelor degree through CUET exam conducted by NTA and then obtain the cut off marks. And other entry requirements are easy and common like other institutes. Any student from any state in India can take admission for pursuing their higher studies here.

In my course (Chemistry) I'm so satisfied with the faculty and the lab. Cause our teachers give importance in 'by hand practical learning' along with the classes. All teachers are renowned in their field holding PhD and postdoc degrees. In case of assignments our teachers don’t pressurize to do unnecessary tasks as they are always there for us even in off time. And obviously PhD scholars are always helpful and friendly with us.

In case of placements the overall result is better. The Pharma companies, coaching institutes, NGOs, etc. helped lots of students to make their career.

Our institute gives residential facilities like mess (food), well furnished newly built two bed bedroom, lift for upper stairs, light-fan, and geyser for hot water in winter, badminton court, table tennis, saloon, gym, TV room, and 24×7 Wi-Fi service. 3 hostels are there for students (two for girls and 1 for boys).

The campus with total span of 300 acres consists with many well furnished buildings, trees, gardens and a big playground. After entering through main gate the nicely built big block is administrative block, after those three academic blocks, a canteen, 3 hostels are situated. And recently a brand new extensive library is in its last stage of construction. For football, handball, volleyball, basketball, and a running track are there for the students. And a Temple is also in the campus. The campus is secured under CCTV surveillance all the time.

In more than 1 year of my experience I felt that the facilities and scopes are far better than other universities. Cultural programmes are always held by the university in various festivals and freshers party is the most beautiful among them. One can show his/her talent through different competitions in sports or other extracurricular activities.
