I had a wonderful experience while studying in my college. It is because my college focuses on studies and extracurricular activities at the same time. This makes us highly qualified and increases our employability skills. I chose this college because I wanted to study professional qualifications along with regular degree program. In Kerala only few colleges provide this opportunity to students. Having a degree alone does not guarantee us employment opportunity. The fees are higher when compared to colleges that provide only degree program, but I think it will be worth it. I also chose this college because it is situated in a beautiful place in Kodakara. We can feel positive atmosphere in this college. I will recommend this college to my juniors who are planning for their degree programs.

The course I am studying is B.Com with specialisation in Banking and Insurance. There are many specializations offered in B.Com like Finance, Computer Application and Taxation. All courses in my college are accredited by University of Calicut. There are two ways through which you get admission in this college: management quota and merit quota. To get admission through merit quota you have to score above 90% marks. The minimum eligibility for getting admission is 55% in 12th. My motive for enrolling in this program was to make a career in Banking field.

In our college there are around 50 faculty members. Majority of the faculty members have master’s degree in their respective field of teaching. Each department has HOD. All faculty members are very friendly and helpful. They make their classes interesting by interacting with students and by their unique way of teaching. They update timetable for revision so that it helps us to score good marks in our semester exams.

Yes, there is a Placement Cell in my college. Placement cell consists of 15 students and 4 teachers. They handle the placement related work for UG programs. It is quite helpful for students who wish to connect with recruiters of various companies. They provide us trainings for preparing resume, interviews and aptitude tests. Students in Placement cell often find it difficult to place all eligible students. In my college around 70% of students get placed. The highest package is 6LPA and average package is 3LPA.

Yes, hostel facility is provided by the college separately for boys and girls. But the hostel is little far away from the college. For that, bus facility is provided by the college for hostellers. The infrastructure facility in college hostels is average. Majority of day’s non vegetarian food is prepared which makes it difficult for students who only eat vegetarian food. The hostel life is very strict. We are not allowed to go out after 6pm. Loud noises are not allowed in the hostel. The warden is not friendly to students. Some of my friends stay in a nearby PG or flat. Hostel students can go to their hometown during vacations and long holidays.

The campus infrastructure is great. Classrooms are very neat and clean. The college started functioning in the year 2012. Only one building is there. There are two sports grounds. Canteen facility is also available. Many sports tournaments are conducted in our college. Sick room and counseling room are there in my college. Large library is available in my college with modern amenities. National and international journals and books are available. We are allowed to spend time in library during interval breaks.

The overall campus life is wonderful. In my college, there are around 3500 students. Our college conducts Management Fests, Arts Fest, and Annual Day in every year. To participate in those events, we invite students from other colleges also. In my college a business quiz is conducted every week. We have celebrations such as Onam celebration and Christmas celebration. All these celebrations are full of joyful experiences. We also have college tour in the final year.
