Amity University BBA Review By Rudal Paswan

Hi, I have done my BBA from Amity, Patna. The college is good and faculties are one of the best. The campus is ragging free and any such incident may result in consequences. Not just studies but Amity is known for events that it organizes every now and then. The attendance at the college is strict as for each subject the attendance has to be 75%, also for above 90% above attendance we used to get an extra mark at the internals. The college is small as there is just one building. The college building is indeed the first glass building college in Patna. The college has some ethics and all the students have to wear uniform otherwise they are not allowed to enter the college. The college is new and is looked after well. In our region no college is as advanced as Amity for sure.

For BBA there were 3 sections of 60 students each. The admission process required an entrance exam which is common for all Amity campuses. The classrooms are huge and air-conditioned that make us feel comfortable in the classrooms. The course is tough and our lectures lasted 6 hours daily. The course is nice and also helps us know the world outside. The college academics has what transformed many students to become a business tycoon today. For management studies I don’t think there’s a better college than Amity in Bihar.

For BBA itself there were some 18 to 20 faculty members. For all courses the faculty members were 100+. The faculty members took great care of students and extra marks for being proactive in the class was made sure by our faculty members. To make sure that students don’t bunk the classes, they gave is another chocolate by making sure that they gave a number extra for having attendance in excess of 90%. All the faculty members had a great teaching experience and they made learning so easy. They hardly use blackboards but just gave us notes and explained us in detail about each subjects. Any doubts are solved then and there itself and I don’t think I can do justice to my faculty member’s vision who always motivated me that they want to see me going places.

The BBA course was not just theory and during 5th semester we were given an internship opportunity with the industries that are in Patna. That internship report helped us to attach that in our CVs and during the placement time, some of the noted students were directly called upon for the interview. The number of students that got placed was not even 30 and I like many others did felt left out. It was our faculty members who consoled us and asked us to go for higher studies. The placements were not great as we were promised much more but were given none. Soon after the placement week, we were hard-hit by Corona and the ones who got also couldn’t join their job. So it’s safe to say that placement were 0%.

The college don’t have a hostel and there were many students from Darbangha, Muzzafurpur, and Bihar Sharif who arranged their living on own. There are many paying guests and flats where students are given priority. Bihar State Boys Hostel and Youth Hostel in Patna are the best. You will find many students from various colleges staying there. Youth Hostel is not much far from the college and if you are an outsider you can check that hostel out. 90% of the students are locals and plus the college area comprise of just one building so college hasn’t provided any hostel.

Since Bihar is little backward you won’t see many glass buildings and our college building has not just become a landmark but is one of the posh buildings in this area. The 4 floors building is all that we have in terms of campus size. What’s there in those floors is something that students from Bihar would have not imagined. All the rooms in the college are air-conditioned. The first floor has a reception and staff rooms. Principal office is also on the first floor along with a small cafeteria. From 2nd floor onwards there are classrooms. The top floor has a library and respective labs. The computer lab looks like a modern day cyber café. There are some 50-60 PCs and all with high speed connectivity.

The best part is the atmosphere inside the college. The uniforms makes it even as that takes away any discrimination part that Bihar otherwise have graduated in. This made me stronger and a belief that we also belong here. The security is tight and yes which is certain in Bihar, spats did happened but the security guards threw them out immediately. The management is clear that any spat be it physical or verbal won’t be entertained at any cost. The three years at Amity passed by so quickly. We were also taken on a tour to our Amity University Noida campus and also competed with them in quiz, debate, and other competitions. During first year we were under prepared but during 3rd year visit, Amity Patna brought various laurels and left behind the brats of Noida, Jaipur, Raipur and Lucknow behind. The campus life at Amity is not even heard in Bihar and students from Bihar now can boast their state as it has a world class University that is no short of facilities that students from metro cities enjoy.
