Techno Main Salt Lake BBA Review By Debanjan Ghosh

There are 2 sides of a coin and same way for people studying in St. Xavier’s, B C Roy, TISL can be like a dream come true but for people studying in Adamas or Jadavpur University, it’s nothing. I can say this as I did my PG from Adamas University and have seen Jadavpur in and out. To give an overall perspective, the college is good but the fees is on higher side and there are many advantages but the college has scored some disadvantages as well. At the end of the day choosing a college boils down into which course you want to take admission in? How far is college from your location? Will you be travelling for more than an hour daily? And How is the faculty? I checked all these parameters and then joined this college. Rest all will vary from individual to individual while the last question’s answer that matters the most is the faculty at TISL is by far and large good.

I will be fair with this question as the academics is ok-ok in this college. Well, there’s not much to be proud about or something great that can be raved. The BBA department is affiliated to MAKAUT and the course will have to say is designed better than BBM in Bangalore. The future has been the talking point in class as every student you see will keep asking about future plans. Not just students but the teachers too kept us bragging about the future prospectus. The college should know that if they make us study hard in the present only then we will have some future. The college is not as serious about academics as students engaged in extra-curricular are the ones that turn to be teacher’s favorites.

From the kind of experience and the degree they hold, it will leave your eyes wide open. When they are in that sort of a bubble or zone will finish the semester entire course in 4 months. That is with some teachers and it happened in some semesters. Otherwise the teachers used to rush and call us for extra-classes to complete the syllabus. The crux of the matter is that teachers themselves told us that if you can study yourself coming to extra classes is not enforced. That sums up my faculty review as some of the best teachers hired but with not so serious attitude.

I didn’t knew anything about management or what a management student is supposed to do and still if I would have applied, I would have had a job in my hand. This shows college accord and many students were quite happy actually. The big names like ITC, CESC, Goenka Group, Bandhan Bank are the companies that caught maximum students. Bandhan Bank had an IPO listing the year we were passing out and they took the students in numbers and sent them to different cities in India. I am in touch with one of them who is sitting comfortably at a senior position in banks Raipur branch. If you need placements even without having the complete knowledge then Techno India is a great option for them.

The Techno India group has a huge campus and still they haven’t built a hostel inside the campus. There are many hostels nearby and IEM Boys hostel in Salt Lake is the one. The college is at a touching distance and the hostel is great as well. For students who can’t afford a stay in Salt Lake can opt for flats in different areas as the connectivity to the college from most of the areas of Kolkata is great.

Techno India campus is huge as you should also consider that the campus is in one of the busiest area of Kolkata. The college campus has 3 fully equipped building that has all the facilities one needs. All the buildings are centrally air-conditioned and still you will find students in the playground. There are 2 actually but 1 has gained the status of a park as you will see students sitting there like one sits in park. The digital library at the campus can be accessed even if you are at home. Food is one important aspect and the College has done a great job as there’s a canteen that serves all kind of food and then there’s a nice tea or coffee shop and for rich students the college has given an opportunity to boast their wallets at CCD outlet. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enables and security guards are at work at all the gates of the college.

If I talk about the campus facilities, it is one of the best. In terms of crowd, one of the best that you will find in Kolkata. Yes, a stiff competition with Bhawanipur but I think Techno India will win this hands down. Techno India in terms of education alone may not be the one that you should aspire. However, for overall development, Techno India Salt Lake is best to none. The classes are regular at the college and one can’t just walk away with that unless you are performing at the events and fests.
