Life at National Institute of Technology, Tadepalligudem

Overall Rating
It is a pretty good college. You need to learn a lot on your own rather than just from lectures. There's fun stuff like clubs, technical, and cultural fests and they've added some new food stalls which is a nice improvement. Overall, it's a good place to be. I picked this college because it's the one where I got Computer Science.
 

Academics Rating
To get Computer Science or Electronics in this college, you should aim for over 98 percentile in the open category. Percentile requirements differ for OBC, EWS, SC, and ST. Knowing how to code is helpful, but it's okay if you don’t. Don’t expect high salary offers directly from the college; it's often better to explore off-campus opportunities, even though it can be challenging.
 

Faculty Rating
Not all teachers are great, some are really good. They provide useful notes and resources. On the flip side, others don't share materials and struggle to explain things well. You might have to check out YouTube and other resources on your own. Most teachers are from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good compared to many other colleges.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is pretty new, and things look good. There are clean buildings for classes, hostels are decent, and separate places for labs and workshops. The main road goes straight, passing by all the buildings. It’s become a nice place with some greenery added recently, making it even more pleasant. The infrastructure here is really good, especially when compared to older NITs.
 

Campus Rating
College life is good, no matter how the year starts, it ends well. Join fun clubs, make good friends, and enjoy working together during fests. You can also go on local outings with friends. Our initial year had about 750 students, but the current intake is around 450 students per year now. There’s a sports complex for indoor games, and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the basketball court, football field, and cricket ground. It's a great place for sports enthusiasts to have some fun.

    Currently I am in 2nd year ECE. I chose this course because of my interest in semiconductors. In NIT AP, the ECE branch is very active. Coming to institute, the infrastructure is good because it is built in modern era. The institute has vast campus area of 175 acres. My overall experience in institute is nice.     National Institute of Technology is one of the fastest growing NIT in India. It has all modern infrastructures and overall is a pretty decent institute for one's career. The reason I choose this institute is due to its infrastructure. It has latest hostel blocks and has very good facilities.     Overall, I have had a good experience in the past 3 years. Although this college may not be the top choice, it is adequate for those with average JEE mains scores. If you have an average JEE Main score and want to enroll in a government recognized institution, this college may be the best option. Currently, I am in the ECE Branch, and I would say that this branch is doing pretty well academically. When looking at all aspects of college, I would say it's above average.... Read Full Review

    Overall Rating
    I started my B.Tech in 2020 in CSE branch. I chose CSE because I am passionate about app development and web development so, If anyone wants to get into any NIT you have to clear JEE mains exam and for CSE branch a student at least needs the percentile more than 98 for OBC, OC students and for SC, ST students, need above 85 percentile.
