Being Sophomore in NIT, Tadepalligudem

Overall Rating
Currently I am in 2nd year ECE. I chose this course because of my interest in semiconductors. In NIT AP, the ECE branch is very active. Coming to institute, the infrastructure is good because it is built in modern era. The institute has vast campus area of 175 acres. My overall experience in institute is nice. You can choose the institute as per NIRF ranking as per JEE rank.
 

Academics Rating
The entry requirement is to get seat in JoSAA counseling with JEE Mains rank and 75% in intermediate/12th board. The ECE branch explores about Electronics, Semiconductors, Communication, etc. If you have any interest in above technologies you can prefer ECE branch. Academic life is smoother compared to 12th standard. You get 3 months of summer vacation. Coming to attendance, you have to maintain 80% and faculties are strict in this rule.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty in ECE branch are highly qualified and done their PhD’s from reputed universities. They have vast amount of knowledge. Faculty in ECE is friendly and supportive. They even continue their research in this institute. They clarify the doubts in easier way. No need to watch the YouTube lectures of the same course which is taught in the class. There will be high interaction session during the class while faculties are teaching.
 

Placement Rating
Our institute has dedicated placement cell in our institute.
 

Hostel Rating
NIT Andhra Pradesh is fully residential campus. Since it is new institute, the hostel infrastructure is good and you will get decent Wi-Fi speed. Hostel facilities include drinking water, housekeeping, 24/7 security. Hostel life is good here and no ragging in hostels. Every year, intra hostel sports will be conducted between blocks.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Since the academic blocks are new and modern, the infrastructure is good. All the academic blocks, hostels, sports complex, auditorium, etc. have modern infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience in campus life is decently good. Campus is not active late night (However, hostels are). Self learning is best practice for the future Engineers. The students here are best in all departments in academics and as well as sports. Our institute celebrates two fests one is Techriya (Vulcanzy: tech fest) and other is cultural fest. There is lot of clubs in NIT Andhra. You can join in any of the club you are interested in.

    National Institute of Technology is one of the fastest growing NIT in India. It has all modern infrastructures and overall is a pretty decent institute for one's career.     It is a pretty good college. You need to learn a lot on your own rather than just from lectures. There's fun stuff like clubs, technical, and cultural fests and they've added some new food stalls which is a nice improvement. Overall, it's a good place to be.     Overall, I have had a good experience in the past 3 years. Although this college may not be the top choice, it is adequate for those with average JEE mains scores. If you have an average JEE Main score and want to enroll in a government recognized institution, this college may be the best option. Currently, I am in the ECE Branch, and I would say that this branch is doing pretty well academically. When looking at all aspects of college, I would say it's above average.... Read Full Review

    I started my B.Tech in 2020 in CSE branch. I chose CSE because I am passionate about app development and web development so, If anyone wants to get into any NIT you have to clear JEE mains exam and for CSE branch a student at least needs the percentile more than 98 for OBC, OC students and for SC, ST students, need above 85 percentile.
