Khalsa College Amritsar is one of its kind colleges. Historical and beautiful. It was established in 1893 and is very famous. The infrastructure is mind blowing. Every time you come across it you feel a sense of pride and motivation. The social life is also really good and the faculties are also really supportive and friendly. It almost ticks all the boxes and overall a very good college from campus to education.

I chose B.Sc economics. Khalsa College offers a wide variety of courses to choose. It’s basically a 3 year course with subjects - economics, computer science, maths, English, Punjabi (for Punjab students), etc. The subjects we get to study are really good and open the doors to the various fields related to economical sector. There are no as such entrance tests to get into the course but there are certain criteria like having 12th passed with certain marks. Although you can give CUET for a strong profile and admissions can be done both offline and online.

In a nutshell yes, faculties are really good and supportive. If you're attending classes regularly you won't get any problem with the academics and other factors. Faculties are really very friendly and they are well educated and qualified. They know how to deliver and how to get the most out of the students. Teachers follow conventional style of teaching majorly.

Yes, there is a Placement Cell in the college. And it offers good choices. Many students have been placed at various fields and if students are interested then faculties also give them a helping hand. It does help the students.

Yes, Khalsa College does have very good hostel facilities. It’s the best part of the college. The hostel campus is within the college and is well equipped and well integrated. The campus is beautiful and has various hostels within the single arena with different seated/bed options. All the basic things like personal desk, cupboard, and chair are given to the students and facilities like reading room, gym, parks, etc. are provided. But there are no attach washroom options for boys as hostel infrastructure is historical.

The campus is beautiful and well organised. Every block/department has its own significance but it's a pretty big college so you might have to walk distances but it's a good experience as the infrastructure is good. Other than academic blocks library is really good and huge and the main block is a sight to watch. Students come and click photographs.

In a nutshell. The overall campus life is very good. It is worth it. Khalsa College is well known for its bhangra and other co-curricular activities. Other than the main college teams there are department teams too. Inter department competitions are also conducted frequently. Many seminars, competitions, and trips are organised by the college and department which doesn't make the college feel boring at any point of time. Overall a very good and cheerful experience.
