Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Review By Krunal Bhakre

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Science is an overall good college. It has almost all the facilities that a college should have. Whether it be the campus or the infrastructure, from the teachers to the management everything is fairly okay. Talking about the accreditation the college is accredited with DAVV that is Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhyalaya Indore and MPMSU is Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University Jabalpur. The admission procedure is standard as in every medical college, the students need to appear in the national entrance test NEET and have to clear it in order to get the admission, and on the basis of that, the students are given admission in the college. Now, talking about the college management, it is good also they are concerned about the students and look towards their safety and well-being. Also, the college has strict policies against ragging and seriously prohibits it on the premises.

I took admission in MBBS. My reason for joining this course was that I was passionate about opting for medicine and curing people with that knowledge. Yes, the course subjects are as per my expectations whether it be Anatomy or Pharmacology, they are all the perfect fit. Yes, definitely this course will be helpful for me to get a job in future, as after this COVID situation there is a lot more demand for doctors in the world.

There are a lot of faculties in my course like numbering them one by one would be troublesome and I would definitely forget some of them. Okay so leaving sarcasm apart on average there are about 30+ faculty and other associates of them in my course. Most of the faculties have more than 10+ Years of experience in teaching while, there are some with more than 30+ years of experience in this field. The faculties here are qualified with MD and other recognized degrees in the medical field. The level of education and knowledge those faculties provide of their subjects is the best.

It being a medical college provides enough opportunities for its students to get placed in the best and reputable hospitals within the country. There are no such companies visiting the campus to recruit the students, the students are placed in hospitals as per their talent. Students after getting a master's degree have ample amount of opportunities which they opt for in a much easier way. And the sum they receive is on the basis of their specialty and area of work.

Talking about the hostel, SAIMS provides hostel facilities for the students. The students that are from other states or come from out-station can opt for hostel facilities here. There are basically 2 hostels here one for post-graduates and the other for the under-graduates. The under-graduates hostel is further categorized into boy’s hostel and girl’s hostel. A per-year charge is almost 75 to 90 thousand, I’m not so sure about this as I have not opted for the same, but yeah it’s something near to this. Types of food provided in the hostel are Indian and the quality is good proper sanitation and cleanliness is preferred and also the food is good in taste. Security service is also provided to the students and also the students have parking services available inside their hostel and college premises. Also, there are sports and gym facilities provided to the students.

The total area of college buildings is 250885 sq. ft. And the area of the integrated hospital is 222128 sq. Ft. The building is built on the norms stated by MCI. The ground and 1st floor comprise the pre-clinical department, the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th floor of the building comprises the para clinical department and the 5th floor of the hospital building comprises the clinical department. There are good classrooms, laboratories, and an auditorium. All the services that a student needs are being provided here, there is a central library adjoin with an e-library. There is 1 playground, various cafeterias/ Cafe’s, stores. And talking about the medical and emergency support we have a hospital that is 24/7 available in case of any emergency or trauma conditions and that hospital has every facility that is needed for optimal patient care.

The overall campus life is good. Students get fairly good facilities that they enjoy being on the campus. The environment is free and open. The college conducts numerous activities whether it be physical or workshops, those activities lead to the proper development of a student. The college organizes annual functions, fests, and celebrations too, various artists and bands come and perform in the college so there is no lag in the entertainment of students. So overall we have good campus life in SAIMS, Indore.
