IIMT Group of Colleges Greater Noida was Established in 1994

It has been about 15 months for me at IIMT College of Management Greater Noida. So, this College was started in 1994. In addition, I can surely and certainly declare my positive perspective that this College has helped me build about its Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. If I were to describe my overall experience in few words/phrases then it would be, career driven and real-opportunities. I certainly do not regret being a part of this College as it has fulfilled my wishlist of getting multiple career driven opportunities that too in my first semester. Not to sugarcoat anything, but this is my real experience as a student. It is safe to say that it is the right choice for a media student like me.

They say the real motivation comes from within. That is true, however, the real motivation to achieve your goals comes from the external environment, which you are a part of. My College's environment certainly backs and supports the drive to deeply study the course, that is, Bachelor's of Journalism and Mass Communication, also known as BJMC. I have always aspired to become a media person, someone who has a media visibility. Well, to be honest, the courses, which we were introduced in our first semester, some of them, were Basics of Mass Communication and Journalism, Advertisement and Public Relations, Translation in Media Studies, Writing for Mass Media and so on. Now regarding admission process, it is not too rigid or complicated, you can visit the official page and click directly on Apply Now on the admission portal, and then you will be guided throughout the admission process with the help of your respective assigned counselor. Now, moving towards the occurrence of examination, in your first semester, you will have to appear for your 30 marks sessional exams before your actual semester examination. Once it gets over, you will be expected to appear for Pre- University Test, before your actual examination. This helps a student to get familiar with exam pattern.

Well, I paid about Rs. 65,000/- as my yearly course fee. I even applied for scholarship so I got a waiver of Rs. 25,000/- as based on my Class 12th percentage, which was 89.9%. However, the College is kind of flexible when it comes to Financial Aid and Student Loans. One can easily apply it either by directly visiting the College or by applying it through their website.

I would say, faculties of my department are amazing. Especially, my Dean Sir and HoD Sir, like honestly speaking, they do have some sort of authority given their position but they are super approachable. If one is struggling with any issue, you can either contact your respective mentor or just directly address your issue to the HOD, trust me, he is definitely going to acknowledge your issue and provide some sort of solution. Other respective faculty members are good as well. They have their expertise in their particular field and they are actually helpful. When it comes to their method of teaching and problem solving, they did it with ease. They use approaches, which are genuinely welcomed by students and my fellow batch mates. We are mostly handed with group projects, practical work, and so on, which helps us to navigate problems in a wider area.

Well, about my department's Placement Cell, an average placement goes about 7 LPA to 8 LPA and highest salary package is about 13 LPA. Our College provides which helps students like me to gain real world experience.

This IIMT Group of Colleges Greater Noida also offers residential facilities for both boys and girls. They have single, double, and triple occupancy rooms. I would rate my mess food 8/10. Other than that, it is alright. Security for girl's hostel is actually remarkably good.

We have several academic blocks in this College. Campus is lush green and good for evening walks where you can just enjoy the student-vibes. Classrooms are equipped with air conditioners, digital boards, projectors, and so on. Well, in my opinion, they are actually comfortable. We have our department's own library and honestly, it is my favorite part. We have free Legal Aid Cell along with Medical Cell. I have also seen various canteens near every academic block, which is actually convenient for many of us. College also provides secured transport facility as our students comes from every nearby locations such as Delhi, Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Noida and so on. In addition, the most important part, the College has its own media studio. Yes, that is actually the best part. You can get the real world media experience there. .

My campus life is actually thrilling and work-driven. Yes, well, with great responsibilities and opportunities comes great pressure. But people here make things feel a bit easier and relaxing. Well, what else can be better than a DJ Night, which our College keeps on organising by inviting famous Singers. Yep that part makes every other task worth the shot. In addition, interestingly, that is not it, in every 2 to 3 weeks or so, we get engaged in multiple events and annual event/workshop activities, which actually feel as if we are a part of some famous event management organisation where we are truly enjoying our work.
