Silver Oak College of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Review By Tigmanshu Dave

Okay, So first of all let me tell you that it has been more than 2 years since I graduated from this college but still I can remember some beautiful and some terrible memory of my college. So, there were two colleges in one campus One is Silver Oak College of Engineering and the other one is Aditya Silver Oak Institute of Technology. When I joined the college, my college was ranked 2nd best in computer engineering colleges in Gujarat. It is affiliated with AICTE and also Gujarat Technological University. Admission process is simple either you can go direct to management for your admission or you had to apply through JEE exam and hence it is in Gujarat so you have to follow the admission process of GCET but it is now changed into university so you can contact management for your admission.

I joined mechanical engineering course, I had to do Mechatronics first but I planned to clear my basic first with mechanical engineering and then do masters in Mechatronics.

I think about 100+ faculties are there to guide students in different courses. If I talk about my field of mechanical engineering I have to give kudos! To college management that they hired some excellent guide to create path of our future, some of them were IIT pass out, some were preparing for their PhD, researching into research papers and always ready to guide students in different areas.

Placement cell of the campus was good, as I was preparing for my masters so I didn't actually sit for placement but my friends were there. As there is a booming industry of IT sector my friends believe that campus placement cell was not very supportive as they were in computer and IT. Most companies they brought were looking more into sales rather than core mechanical field.

Basically the campus of my college was not that big so they did not provide hostel to students, Overseas and other students which were not from the native place needed to manage on their own.

My college campus is not that big, there were total four buildings when I want studying and two buildings were under construction. (So, we also felt like we were going to a construction site not college). Spacious classrooms and good quality laboratories were there. If I talk about playgrounds then you can't find any playground in campus, but they used to rent some sport complex for sports week. Four cafeterias, two libraries are there.

So, overall campus life is good, there are also many clubs run by students. Main thing for my field was that my college had a team for SAE BAJA so; If you are interested in racing cars then I suggest my college over any college. There are mainly two fests one is cultural fest and the other one is tech fest called TALAASH, one sports week in a year and famous college days are also there.
