Overall experience for this college would be: "If you can, study hard and go for a better college”. In every aspect this college is average and below average. It's a typical tier 3 college. Don't waste your life coming here; go find a better college for your better future. For economical students this college is a good choice because of its fees structure otherwise it's below average. Go for a better choice. Good Luck.

College has 6 different trades - Computer Science and Business Administration, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Requirement to get admission is passing 12th with valid WBJEE rank card. Direct admission process is also available.

As class size is small, per department the faculty size is also small. There is 8-10 faculties average per department. Guest faculties are there also. Basic science often lacks faculties due to uncertainty of faculties leaving college. But that manages it anyhow. I felt that in my 1st year. Anyhow, the departmental faculties are qualified enough with enough experience. Don't know about their specific qualifications but they are good, helpful, and friendly also.

There is a CDC cell i.e. Career Development Cell. It takes care of placements and internships.

Yes, there is a hostel named GMIT Boy's Hostel. But the hostel is neither inside the campus nor owned by college. But the hostel managing committee is there which is includes some of college personnel. Boy's Hostel is just beside the college campus. A Girl's hostel is also there in the other side of college but it is also not owned by college just like boy's hostel. There is enough number of messes there outside college.

College has 6 trades of engineering. So it has not big academic blocks but whatever is there is enough. Specific area for basic science, core department, Library, administration block, etc. is there. College is only 12-13 years old. Specific labs are there with sufficient amount of requirement. Infrastructure is not so good to show off but it is average also.

GMIT campus life is average to say. The campus includes one High-school named RIPS and a Pharmacy College named Flemming College of Pharmacy. So campus is full of students with 3 different institutions. Campus has no short of greenery making it great place for nature lovers. Seasonal flowers are there to make it beautiful. An annual fest is held every year and other programs like freshers, teacher’s day, Saraswati Puja, biswakarma Puja, etc. are organised here. Yearly JIS samman program is held as college is under JIS group. Various types of students clubs are there but they are not active. Overall campus life is average.
