IIIT Dharwad is the new IIIT established in 2015. It is the Institute of National Importance. It is situated in Hubli-Dharwad city of Karnataka. The college has all the facilities required for academics, research, accommodation, sports, etc. It has B.Tech programs in three domains namely computer science, data science and artificial intelligence and electronics and communication engineering. For taking admission in IIIT Dharwad, you need to score well in JEE mains examination. You can view the cutoff of the college on the JOSAA portal. Other than this the college also has Ph.D programs. The college B Tech program requires minimum of 97 percentile in JEE mains examination for taking admission in CSE branch. Note that the cutoff differs for different branches and categories. All the courses has the latest curriculum according to the industrial demands. We have ample amount of facilities for research. We have 5G lab and drone research lab in the institute. If you have interest in the IT field and want to build your career in any tech domain, whether it may be Software Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, you will get good guidance from the professors in the institute.

Faculties are pretty good in the college. Almost all the faculties are Ph.D holders and have ample amount of experience in their domains. You can get the details of the faculties and staffs on the college portal. The teaching style of faculty differs from professor to professor. Some professors gives good quality knowledge while some just shows ppt and will give a reference material. You can do a research or project under any professor who have the expertise in the domain you are looking for. Also many faculties have good connections in other foreign universities. If you want to pursue research in other country, you can definitely reach them.

As the college is new and getting developed, placement is decent in this college. Until 2023 placement were good. Average package was around 11 lpa and the highest was 35 LPA. Amazon, Nivida, Oracle, etc. are some of the big tech giants which come to the college for placements. In 2023-24 batch, a global tech recession was there. Because of this, many colleges including IIIT Dharwad's placement statistics were affected. But in 2024, situation seems to improve as tech market is getting uptrend and hiring is starting.

Yes, we have a hostel facility in the college itself. In hostel we have a 4 sharing rooms which are spacious enough for accommodation of 4 students. We have one cot, one table, chair, and one cupboard for each student. Mess facility is present in the hostel itself and food is pretty decent, neither good nor bad. We have a laundromat in the hostel for washing and drying our clothes.

Academic block consists of classrooms, labs, faculty cabins, and a mini auditorium. Classrooms are equipped with led screens and projectors. Labs have all the desktop systems required for practical and projects. College have a mega auditorium which is used to conduct big events in the institute. The main block consists of incubation centre, library, Director's office, Placement Cell and other research labs like drone lab and humanoid lab. College have sports facilities like a football ground, cricket nets, courts for basketball, badminton, and volleyball. Campus is lush green away from the main city.

IIIT Dharwad campus life is very good. College consists of various technical and non-technical clubs. We have clubs for competitive coding, development, quantum computing, robotics, gaming, photography, and video editing. Apart from this, there are dance club, literature and debate club, drama club, and music club. Many fests occur in college. IIIT Habba is the cultural fest, Rush is a gaming event, etc. Festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Ganesh Chaturthi are also celebrated with great enthusiasm in the campus.
