Indian Institute of Information Technology - Pretty Decent

Overall Rating
It has been since I had joined the college IIIT Dharwad. I have found some pros and cons in the college. It was pretty decent having an experience in the college. The infrastructure, education is better than many other colleges when I compared. The location of the college is somewhat far from the city but worth for peace location.
 

Academics Rating
The academic review is good. The courses will be explained by the respective faculties. The lecturers are student-friendly so that we can interact with them frequently. The courses will be registered by the students by the college website using college website. The eligibility will be based on the previous year performance for some courses.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in the college is student-friendly so that we can interact with them for our assignments, lab and project. This may also helps us in doing collaborative projects with the institute and have the chance of letter of recommendation for future use. The style of the teaching contains presentations, on board discussion and seminars.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell named career guidance cell. It has started bringing the companies to give internship opportunities to the students. They are updating about the companies visiting the college and jobs offered in the social media account
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, We have the laundry facility in the college itself which will be guided by an individual worker in the hostel. We have induction stove to cook the food like milk, eggs, etc. We also have a common room which contains a television to watch.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure consists of a total of 6 blocks. M block is multipurpose hall to conduct events and to play. P block is to handle academic details. E block is for education purpose and classes. H block is for health purpose and it also consists of canteen, stationary and gym. B and G blocks are for boys and girls respectively
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is a bit boring. At the start we can explore many things but later on it will be boring. It will be similar in many colleges. The crowd in the college will be reasonable. There will be technical fests for every semester. There are clubs which are technical and non-technical. There will be fests every year named IIIT HABBA. The sports and other activities will also be encouraged.

    There are quite many reasons for choosing this college, especially because of a government funded institute. I personally don't insist someone to join this college but as of my opinion this college gives everything you need for a pleasant atmosphere to study.   • Hub of Technology and Innovation with Scope for Growth

    IIIT is one of the National Importance institutes in PPP model that is Public Private Partnership. It is also a member of the reputable IIIT network in India. For those who are interested in technology, it provides a targeted curriculum, particularly in Science and Electronics. It offers only three courses CSE, DSAI and ECE in Bachelor of Technology.     I had an average experience at the college. The campus is average but the atmosphere here is good. We will have a good experience here and we will have ample opportunities here to learn new things and the college is 60 acres large. The hostel life here in IIIT Dharwad is below average like we have limited resources and the mess food is below par to bad.... Read Full Review
