Maharaja Manindra Chandra college is affiliated to Calcutta University and offers various courses to one. It is near shyambazar metro station and is essay to access for a student. The college follows CBCS curriculum pattern for the course. I took admission in Bachelor of Commerce course for which I had applied online and after some time, college published the merit list of eligible candidates who can take admission and I was one of them so I took the opportunity.

So let's come to the course and requirement and all. I took admission in Bachelor of commerce course. The admission process is quite easy I must say, once you have passed the 12th examination you need to visit the website of the college and fill a form for admission to your choice of course. You need to give your personal details and academic qualification for them to check your eligibility i.e. entry requirements. After you fill the form, 3-4 weeks later college starts publishing merit list of the candidate who can take admission.

The faculties here at the Maharaja Manindra Chandra college are very great. They are highly qualified. But the point is in spite of being great teachers they generally don't take classes regularly. Most of the times the classes get cancelled or terminated. Apart from that they are great and highly qualified and helpful to students.

Here comes the bad part about the College. Apart from being a good college, easy to access, and great facilities. The college fails to have a good infrastructure and maintain a good quality of Environment. Most of the classes are in a bad condition, the benches are not cleaned, fans are old and bad working condition, projector are in not working state, and rooms are not painted in a last decade I guess. But the only two good things are, they have a good library for the students most of the book are available. Secondly they have a student common room so that all the students of college can interact and socialise.

I may say it's not the type of Campus life one imagine as it's not up to the mark. Campus Life is not at good insight of having student’s common rooms and all the students are not socialise enough. The college doesn't organise many fest and engagement activities, infact I haven't seen any good fest in a last year. But they organise an Annual Sports day every year for the students to participate in the nearby ground of the college.
