I have completed my degree of B.Sc in hospitalities studies from IIHM Vasai. It is one of the best colleges for doing hotel management in Mumbai if you are tight on budget, I did a lot of research for selecting which College to choose in Mumbai for doing hotel management within the less budget and IIHM Vasai was on the top of the list. IIHM Mumbai is affiliated with Mumbai University as well as Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University. The admission process is quite simple you can visit the college directly or you can visit the college website and do an enquiry about the college but it would be better if you go and visit the college in person. The management of the college is quite friendly and helpful especially the facilities.

The main reason for joining this course is that as you complete your degree you are going to have enormous job opportunities in the hospitality Industry and it will be very easy for you to get a job. And the core subjects which will be included in this course are Food production, Food and Beverages Service, Front Office and Housekeeping these are the core subjects which will be present in all the semesters and there will be some more others subjects which will be included in the course for a limited semester like Food safety and Nutrition, Information technology and Law etc. And after completing your Bachelor's in Hospitalities studies you can work in various fields like cruise ships, cabin crew, railway catering etc. and this course is very helpful for you to get a Job.

The college is very good when it comes to the quality education the faculties in the college are very helpful. There will be 2 faculties for this core subjects and for rest of them there will be only 1 faculties and the total faculties which will be going to teach you the entire course is around 10-12 faculties and their experience in their particular fields is around 8-10+ years. Some of the faculties have done MBA and some of them have studied from top colleges in the country. The facilities have good experience and knowledge in their particular fields and their teaching way is very simple and effective which makes it very easy for the students to understand.

The college IIHM Vasai is associated with the Top Hotels in the country so it's very easy for us to get training and placement from this Top Hotels. Top hospitality companies in the Industry like Taj, Oberoi, Lalit, JW Marriott, ITC, Ramada etc. visit the college for our campus placements and in the beginning for first 1-2 years the Average package you are going to get will be around 2 lacs and if you're lucky enough and got selected in any of the good cruise company then it will be around 5 lacs in the beginning and due to various opportunities in this field of hospitality industry it's very easy to get a job. Almost 95% of the students get placed in the campus interviews easily and the rest of the students either go for higher studies or start their own business.

The best thing about the college is that they also have hostels for the students which are coming from different places. And one of the good things is that the rooms of girls and boys are separate. The hostel is nor expensive nor cheap it's average the fees of the hostels for one years is around Rs. 60,000 and I think it's quite descent for the facilities they are giving in this and food is also included. The quality of the food provided is good but the taste is quite average and they also provide non veg food on some occasions and the surrounding of the hostel is very busy so it's feels very secured and they also have the Watchmen for the hostels security which is a plus point and for the entertainment purposes they have also provide Television in the hostels.

The size of the college is very small and they don't have any campus of their own and also the college is surrounded by the buildings. The college is not very big but the facilities provided in the college within this budget is good the classrooms are clean and they have AC and they also have projectors in some of the class to show us videos related to the subjects. The library is college is smaller in size but the books in the library are sufficient to get the knowledge about the subjects and they have 5 Rooms for doing our subjects practical are 1. Kitchen 2. Restaurant 3. Bakery 4. Front Office 5. Housekeeping.

The vibes of the students in the college is very good as they are competitive and friendly and they college also organise a lot of events in the college for theirs students which you shouldn't miss. They also provide us with guest lectures form the Industry experts in the Field which is a good opportunity for the students to get their doubts cleared from the experience experts of the Industry and they also organise many food competitions inside and outside the college so the students of the college feel very competitive and they also conduct competition with other colleges too and there are lot of festivals which are celebrated in the college by the students and the faculties of the college they celebrate most of the festivals in the college and they also organise one of the biggest food fest in the town so it's worth taking part in this competitions the overall life in the college is good.
