Government College BBA Review By Mayank Rana

I have done my bachelor's degree from the Government Post Graduate College Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. I chose this college as Dharamshala is a student hub with so many different opportunities for students to learn and make the best use of the resources available here. Living in the Dharamshala is very cost-effective. As the rents of the rooms and PG is not that much as compared to other states. The environment of the Dharamshala is also very beautiful and peaceful. My college has been surrounded by other institutes such as the District Institute of Education and Training for JBT (Junior Basic Training), B.Ed (Bachelor in Education) college, and also a campus building of Central University. Also, the most popular site of Dharamshala which is the beauty and the center point of attraction in Dharamshala the International Cricket Stadium which is around 100 meters away from my college.

I have chosen Bachelor of Business Administration to carry on my graduation. I have to go through the process of entrance test. Then there was a Group Discussion round and lastly the Personal Interview. The whole process seemed like if you are applying for a job. As there were only 60 seats in a batch so you have to give your 100 percent to secure a seat. As a career option Bachelor's in Business Administration is great as it gives you chances of getting a job easily after completing graduation, as most of my friends started doing jobs afterward. Also for those who want to do a Master's in Business Administration the Bachelor of Business Administration is very helpful as clear all your concept and basics that you are going to study in the Master of Business Administration.

When I came across the course of bachelor of business administration, I must say it is one the best decisions of my life that I have taken. The staff was very well qualified and had Masters in their area of study. I got to know much more from my teacher’s not just in terms of knowledge but more than that. The most important thing that you have to learn is the way in which you communicate yourself and this is the thing that is going all the way in your life. The presentations going on every week and the tests help me get ready to beat all the fears and take the position which helps to lead in every single course of my life.

Well, when I was in my last year it was mandatory for every student to go for an internship program for at least 45 days. As in management courses, it is compulsory to go for an internship as in the end you have to submit a project file on the basis of your internship without which you might not be able to pass the course. Also, an internship is very helpful and lets you prepare for the job that you are going to do in the future. About how things are getting done here and the roles and duties of various people working in a place. The next thing which comes in the mind is about the placements as we all need jobs after our studies. The college does not provide you with that many opportunities in that area you have to look on your own. Although there are job fairs organized around the town where you can apply your luck.

There are only two hostels on my campus one is for boys and the other for girls which can accommodate around 1000 students. Although the accommodation for 1000 students is very less in an institute where there are 3 to 4 thousand students are studying. But most students commute from their houses and some would like to take the room instead of hostels so it would never be an issue in such case. Although I have never lived in the hostel but have seen the rooms in the hostel and for me they were very good with bedding facility for two in a single room. Also, I have friends who lived in the hostel who never complained about the food in the Hostel.

It is the one thing that I can tell my college has provided the best. There is a separate building for different courses with an area so wide to walk around the campus. My course provides you with infra such as projector classrooms, labs, a separate library for management courses with the availability of all the books, magazines, and newspapers. Also for the best hangout places, there is a big cafeteria and sports grounds such as football ground, Badminton court, and Basketball court.

Campus life is something for which the college is all about. The atmosphere of Dharamshala college is full of enthusiasm. As all you see around is young blooded teens turning into adults and learning the new developments all around them. Each one of the children here can find his field of the area in which he is interested it might be in academics, sports, music, dance, art you name it and you can find it here. There is an auditorium where you get to showcase your talent at the cultural fest or special ceremonies which occur regularly. Also, there are a lot of cafes or coffee shops where you can move around and chill with your friends and call it your adda.
