Overall Rating
My overall experience at this College is quite good. Many factors made me choose this College for my further studies like the facilities available, location and most important it’s a best Government College in Himachal Pradesh in terms of facilities and faculty. This College provides various opportunities to support every student. I would recommend other students to take admission in this College.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I have taken is Bachelor of Arts in History. The entry requirements at Government College Dharamshalaare same as others. The College follows a policy of first-come first-serve basis. For admission, the students must have passed their class 12th from a recognised board. The admission can be done both online and offline. The exams are conducted annually of my course. The academics prepare us very well for real life challenges.
The fees of my course are around Rs. 3000/- per year including all the other charges such as tuition fee, admission fee, registration fee, etc. The College provides special discounts to the girl students. There are many scholarships available which depends on individuals’ category and percentage obtained.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members of my course are well educated and highly qualified with amazing teaching skills. The background of all faculty members is diverse. The teaching methods include blackboard, PPTs, group discussion, etc. Every teacher has their own teaching method. The problem solving abilities of the faculty is good. The teacher to student ratio is around 1:3. My bonding with the faculty members is quite good as they are very supportive and approachable. The teachers encourage us and guide us at every step.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the College has placement cell but I don’t have much information about it. In order to obtain information, you can visit the official website of Government College Dharamashala.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the College provides residential facilities to the male and female students separately. The College offers Government hostel on the basis of their merits. The hostel rules and timings keep on changing yearly and the mess food is above average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Government College Dharamshala is spread over a wide area and the structure is quite good. The campus is quite spacious and is located near the stadium. The classrooms are quite spacious. The campus has library, labs, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall, and other necessary facilities. The campus also has canteen.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life was good. The College had a huge crowd. It has various clubs and I was also a part of the Red Ribbon club. The College organises different extracurricular activities every week. Every festival is celebrated here by the teachers and the students. My experience in this College was very enjoyable.
