KIPM College of Engineering is located in East U.P and is considered as best college for the localites as the students do not need to travel more in order to pursue a graduate degree as the college offers the necessary and essential facilities which are somewhat equivalent to the NCR colleges. KIPM Gida is affiliated to Abdul Kalam Technical University which is one of the admired University in India. You can get admission into this college either clearing the UPSEE exam or through JEE marks, there is also probability of getting into the college through your board exam marks and higher the marks higher is the chances for you to get a fee-waiver seat in the college and courses of your choice as well.

I chose to pursue B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from this college because I wanted to go in the government services, the good thing about this course is that you can easily crack the government examination and there are lots of options available for you. The college gives the best opportunity to individual in the academic field. Although the syllabus is a bit lengthy and some non-technical subjects like human values, managerial economics which are of no use are added together with the core subjects. The practical performed in the lab are not given much importance as required. The college promotes internships after summer breaks to expose the students in the corporate fields which are really helpful in adjusting in the office environment.

Faculty members were really helpful and knowledgeable, they were highly qualified and were cooperative as well. When I was in the first year, some senior students were trying peddling me but when it came into the light of faculties especially the HOD. He took the necessary steps and punished them by rusticating them from the college. This proves that how strict this college is. When I was studying there were nearly 10 faculty members in my course as there were few students who were enrolled during my session. Some of the faculty members are alumni of the renowned government universities. They are more interested in maintaining the discipline and good reputation of the college rather than completing the syllabus.

If you're are from CS/IT you are fortunate enough to get the placement with a higher package from this college as most of the companies that visits here are mainly for CS/IT branches but as I was from mechanical I had to put more effort in order to get placed in a core company. Here, in this college IT guys are frequently recruited in the companies like Accenture, Wipro, TCS and many more. When I was in final year, many of my classmates were placed in the core companies with the average package of 2.5 LPA. The highest package for mechanical was bagged by an average student as in 5 LPA. But the placement graph of college has seen a tremendous increase in the last two years.

The hostel facilities and the food that the college offers is average and there are no PGs available around the campus so the students are left with living in the college hostel only. The fee structure of college hostel is feasible it is nearly around 60k per annum. There are separate hostel for boys and girls. You can easily get bored with the routine of the hostel menu. The hostel rooms are less spacious and lacks basic infrastructure like Wi-Fi availability. Since the college is located in an industrial area you probably won't get any auto or cab after 6-7pm. Luckily, when you get the auto or cab services in the evening they enormously increases the price.

The infrastructure of KIPM College is quite similar to some of the government colleges. The lab facilities that the college offers are only good for the CS/IT students but not for the civil and mechanical branches. The lab lacks necessary equipment. When I was studying there was only one canteen available in the college campus. Various sport tournaments are organised by the college as the grounds here are large. The classrooms are spacious but don't have ACs installed and it becomes quite difficult for the students to pay attention in the classroom during the summer days. The college has a large seminar hall where most of the meetings and various orientation programmes are held.

KIPM Technical Campus life is mostly dependable on the friend circle and companies that you have during your college period, since the college was more focused on maintaining the discipline and decorum, it was quite difficult for us, students to live and enjoy fully and freely. Although the college used to organise various fests and cultural fests for the students to chill out but they were quite expensive to attain. I made many friends throughout my college life and they are still in touch with me. There are various clubs in the college like tech, sports, drama and many more. The college environment is cool and peaceful you will not find any kind of clash or fight in the campus.
