This is the university which has the perfect environment for a student to enjoy both academics and activities. The place has different varieties of trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants which makes the place more green and beautiful. The faculty is amazing, who will help you to learn and understand your concepts thoroughly. There are labs which are used to conduct experiments. There is gym, canteen in the campus. There is also a central library. There is also provision for hostel for both boys and girls. This University courses related to Agriculture and I belong to the department of Faculty of Technology. I get to various aspects of farm machinery, soil conservation structures, and design, irrigation system and learn lots about food technology and processing. We also learn about computer programming as well as machine designing and electrical subjects. There are also various events organised in the university which we enjoy, like Social, Viswakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja, Teachers Day, Freshers Program, and lots more. The student who which to learn about Agriculture Technology can take admission here, as they will not only get to get to learn varied subjects but will also get chance to choose from varied subjects in masters in higher studies and there are jobs as well.

The course to which I have enrolled is B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering. You can opt for this course through the counselling of WBJEE entrance examination. There is also admission through spot counselling procedure based on WBJEE rank. The number of seats in spot counselling can vary; the notification for spot counselling is given the university website, "www ubkv.ac.in". The student if have weaker income background can avail for scholarship like SVMCM. The students who wish to learn more about Agriculture technology and build a career with it are welcomed.

The faculty is amazing. Most of the professors here are doctorate in their subjects and the others being engineers. They all are qualified from premium institute like IITs. The professors try their best to deliver their knowledge and explain their work experience on working on various projects. The study material is provided. If someone pays attention to the class he/she can understand the concepts quickly. They also encourage doubt solving. Assignments are provided which help us to practice the concept we learn. We are also taken to labs, farm visits, and field visit to know more about the concepts.

There is a Placement Cell in our university. But very few companies are asked to take students from our university. Due to COVID the Placement Cell was inactive for 3 years. Previous year firms like NGOs, Hero came, and this year we had Mahindra. Placement is only provided for posts of sales executive. You can also opt for off campus placement in TCS and can also try for government jobs in banks, for UPSE.

Hostel facility is present for both boys and girls. Limited seats are available. If you have to opt for hostel you have to fill the column of hostel in the admission form. Students get hostel based on the distance from the student's house to the university. In a hostel room you get to share the room with 1 or more roommates (based on the room size). You get 1 bed, 1 almirah, a table, a chair, and the room has 1 or multiple fans. The ventilation is quite good in the room. There is mess in every hostel, where we dine. There is a common room for interactions and small gatherings. There is also a space to hang the wet clothes to dry. The bathroom is cleaned on regular basis. The hostels for girls are Teesta Hall, International Hostel, and CFH. The hostels for boys are PCM Hall, Torsha Hall, APCR Hall, MN Saha Hall, and SB Chattopadhyay Hall. I am a boarder of Teesta Hall and there is ample interaction with seniors and juniors. There is a hostel picnic organised annually with good food and music and entertainment.

For the Faculty of Technology, which is situated near to the Faculty of horticulture, there are classrooms for the 4 years' of students. Each classroom has a smart board and a black board. There is ample number of lights and fans present with adequate number of table and chairs for students and the professors. There are lab facilities for each department like farm machinery, soil water conservation, food technology, mechanical drawing, civil, etc. The labs are equipped with implements. They are also technical assistants who help us introduce with machineries and equipment. Recently new building is being built for Faculty of Technology. In recent years the Faculty of technology will flourish.

The university campus like is full of both studies and enjoyment. Students can show their talent in various programs organised in the university. The university has many clubs like mime club, singing club, dance club, and many more. Every year there is fest named Social organised for a total of 3 days with lots of fun and entertainment. Every year Freshers party and farewell party are also held. And there are programs held round the year like Rabindra Najrul Jayanti, Teacher’s Day Celebration, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, etc. Programs like Van Mohotsav are also held. Pujas like Vishwakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja, etc. are organised by the students which are followed by cultural programmes. Students are also given a chance to participate in Agru-Uni-Fest and Agri-Uni-Sports. Football match and cricket match are held throughout the year.
