BA at Vasanta College for Women, Varanasi

Overall Rating
The main reason for selecting this college is because it is affiliated with one of the most reputed central universities named Banaras Hindu University. Campus is full of greenery and this college is very close to nature; especially during spring, it has a mesmerizing view. They provide good and quality education here. Professors are very supportive and kind towards students. Overall infrastructure of the college is well and good.
 

Academics Rating
They only offer humanities and commerce courses. Vasanta College for Women does not have science courses and technical courses. One has to clear CUET UG for getting admission in BA course in this college. Course curriculum is very relevant and specific. They provide good quality education and provide practical exposure too for practical courses.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is good and impressive, HOD is very cooperative and of kind nature. Professors are knowledgeable and well qualified; they clear the basic concepts of students regarding the course. I love their way of teaching and the most important thing is that they provide an interactive classroom where students can ask their doubts freely without any hesitation. Some of them are professors while some are assistant professors.
 

Placement Rating
They do not provide in campus placement for humanities students. This is one of the drawbacks of the college. But yes, they do have a Placement Cell which is the most beneficial for commerce students.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is of average quality. Few of my classmates who were hostellers used to complain about their mess food always. The hostel area has security issues also. Because campus is out of the city, there are a lot of problems which students have to face.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is so good and the classrooms are well maintained. They have smart class for each classroom which makes subjects easier to understand. Library of the college is decent and well managed; they have a lot of useful books related to the courses and annual magazines of college as well. They have separate buildings for each department. There is a canteen in the corner area where one can get decent food items.
 

Campus Rating
Campus is full of trees and greenery which helps in noise cancellation. College has a big basketball court and badminton court. They have a good campus in which programmes of NSS and NCC are organized. Washrooms are clean and sanitized, because it's a women's college, they do have a pad disposing machine in the washroom. Overall, the campus experience is good and exciting.
