RBC College, the name itself, still gives me goosebumps and takes me on a nostalgic tour, back in the year 2018. A campus full of life and greenery, large classrooms, a computerized library, well-equipped lab, finely decorated community hall, and a canteen with memories unlimited; speak a lot. Established in the year 1947, this multi-faculty College offers Honors and General courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream, affiliated with the West Bengal State University. To be honest, the study was of prime importance there and I rarely spent long leisure during class breaks. We had to follow a hardcore study regime along with regular class tests every single day. No wonder, this UGC acknowledged college had been accredited by NAAC for its excellence in offering quality education for years. This place has always been a perfect combination of strict discipline and fun as well. And, this is the point where my college stands apart from others. Though it was never a place where all work and no play were entertained! There were cultural festivals, blood-donation camps, sports, seminars, and departmental events to keep us motivated and energetic throughout the year.

Being an Arts' student throughout, I always preferred English Honors as the main subject in the graduation. A minimum of 60% above in the subject was necessary and somehow, I got lucky with the number to start off my journey ahead. Thanks to one of the faculties of English Department, I was quite aware of the pros and cons of my chosen subject and knew what scopes it offered. Seminars and group discussions helped a lot to have a clear understanding of the subject and our mentors never left us alone. Today, I'm a professional Content Writer and this had never been possible without this course and its practical output.

I was an English Honors student and at first, had no clue about how to prepare myself for the course well. Thanks, to my easy-going teachers who were always there to have a knock from me! There were 4 faculties allotted for our English Honors course. And if I remember well, overall 50-60 teachers were there in the college for other courses. English department was lucky to have experienced lecturers only and every one of them was highly educated in their niche. Their knowledge reflected in their lectures only. Dramas had never been so interesting before and the articulation of every word in poems still lingers in my mind. Taking Notes during class was a tough job though! But, they never cared less about any student ever and entertained every single query, especially of mine, during or after the class.

RBC College has a Career Counseling Cell to help students in terms of placement and admissions to other academic courses. It also conducts training in soft skills and communicative English. Though, the college offers fewer campus placement opportunities; it maintains a good rapport and correspondence with renowned organizations.

Though no hostel facility is available in this college; there is some PG accommodation available in nearby areas.

RBC College features a huge four-storeyed building with a large campus on 5 acres of land and a 50,000 sq. ft floor area. Three buildings are interlinked to offer the benefit of 3 colleges which include RBC Morning College, Day college, and Evening college. The well-furnished Classrooms can easily accommodate a large number of students. The college offers modern amenities like a computer and multimedia lab, internal security, high-tech intercom, and broadband connectivity. This college has more than 30,000 books in its library with a separate career corner section and book bank facility as well. It features two large reading rooms to accommodate 25 teachers and 60 students at a time. The College has a large playground of a 3.5 acre area along with a gallery shed for sports and games. There is a common room as well for the indoor games.

As I said earlier, the campus is a place full of life and greeneries all around. The landscape garden, seasonal flowers with a decorative fountain in the middle, make it a perfect place for relaxation. The college offers NCC and NSS provisions as well as scholarships to needy students. There is a wing in the campus, comprising of an anti-ragging cell, women cell, students' grievance redressal cell, minority cell, and career counseling cell. On the cultural front, a social fest named "Shampaan" is organized every year and the celebration lasts for 3 days with exhibitions, debates, cultural performances, etc.
