Karpagam College of Engineering direct admission via management quota

Karpagam College of Engineering is a fine educational institution which provides quality education to the students and has a good environment. When I was to join the college on first day, I was extremely excited. The college was located at a village far from highway and pollution. My relatives has suggested me to join this for its excellence in placements regarding facilities. The college provides more placement drives especially for IT fields. So I would recommend this college only if you have interest in IT sector. I have joined Electrical and Electronics Engineering and nowadays this course will have its hike in future.

I have enrolled for the course BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 2022. I came in via management quota and it also requires eligibility criteria like 60% in 10th board exams and 60% above in 12th board exams. Or else you could also apply in TNEA counselling and can apply for this college. My motive on joining this program was Electrical and Electronics Engineering will have impact in upcoming 5 years. I could easily get a job in many companies like TATA electronics, TVS electronics, Ather, Ola, etc.

The faculties are good and some act some kind of rude behaviour. My own core departments faculties were best. Some subjects like electrical circuits and electronic devices handling staffs were good and we even asked them to be our tutors for upcoming semesters. Our core subjects are digital electronics, electrical circuits, electronic circuits, electronic devices, DC and synchronised machines, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.

Yes, we have placements in our college. The college itself gives students placement training and help them to assure a job. Before that the eligible students should attend a screening test for the course. But the college now only offers training for it related jobs only. Even the core departments are forced to join in an IT company. The highest package offered by the recruiters was Rs.16.5 lakhs per annum and the average package offered was Rs.6.5 lakhs per annum.

Yes, we have hostel facilities. I am in hostel as I my hometown is very far away. The first hostel was somewhat okay but the memories are awesome with the friends we make in hostel. After we even had hostel day which was very fun and the food was only good on that day. Other days it would be normal and someday not nice. The hostel facilities available are store, laundry, mess and food courts, separate rooms at separate cost, and non veg meals. The fees for hostel is Rs. 85000 per year.

The college consists of more than 20 Blocks and each department have each separate block. There is plenty of space and the environment is also good. The campus is fully covered with trees and plants. The structures of the some blocks are designed by the civil engineering students. All the blocks are unique with the students creativity. You could see many fountains in the entrance gate and also the college management is building a total of 5 turfs for sports and for the need of hostel students.

The overall campus life is good. The college conducts cultural fests like Dhruva for the senior students and Kalam for junior students. The whole college gathers during these events and all would wear ethnic dress to the celebrations. It would be a great day to watch everyone. There are even clubs and Social activity clubs like NSS and NCC cadets for public issues and awareness. Other engagement activities like Industrial Visits are conducted by the college. It would be amazing and some places like Coorg and Chikmagalur were visited during the trips.
