I am pursuing bachelors of technology in computer science and engineering in the field of cyber security from Oriental College of Technology and I am having an incredible experience. The campus is picturesque with modern infrastructure, providing an ideal learning environment. The canteen offers a variety of delicious food options and the mess menu caters to diverse tastes.

This course requires JEE scores but someone who does not have JEE scores or has not attempted the JEE examination can also apply for this course. Then you can get admission on the basis of your 12th class scores. The eligibility for this course is that you should have given JEE or appeared for 12th class exams. My motive was to learn about technology.

In this college, the faculties are cooperative. If someone has any issues in anything whether it is related to studies, or to the curriculum, etc., they help very well. The student cannot feel that he/she has not been guided properly. In my department, the teachers are very knowledgeable about their subjects. They are also well behaved and well mannered. The teaching style is also very good that means a student can be taught from a very basic level.

Yes, our college has a Placement Cell. The teachers and instructors are also talented. They guide our seniors very well so that they get a good placement.

Our college has 4 hostels. Both girls and boys having 2 hostel each. I don't have the inside knowledge of hostels as I'm a day scholar, but my hostel friends say that they are good. The mess they get is also very good.

The main thing about my college is that our campus has total 4 buildings; The Oriental Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), Oriental College of Technology (OCT), Oriental College of Pharmacy (OCP), and Oriental College of Management (OCM). Here, the labs are also equipped with good facility of AC and fans. The drinking water also good. We have one canteen in our own college i.e. Oriental College of Technology.

The campus life is cooperative. Ragging is not allowed here and it is properly prohibited. The seniors are supportive and the juniors are also respectful. I don't have a particular figure about the population of the college but in a particular department in a single semester in a single class, there are about 70-80 students. The college also organises various fests like tech fests. The college is affiliated with NSS and NCC so it is also a plus point for their respective aspirants.
