It’s been two years since I am passing out from my college, I am from GGITS Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Science. And I still, remember my first day how nervous and conscious I was but during my journey in this college, I have met some amazing personalities who helped me grow into the confident person I am today. If I talk about the infrastructure then it’s not very big it’s normal like other colleges in town but I remember the problem I and my classmates were faced is about the classroom there was always a problem with classroom ac & ducts so every next day, unfortunately, we had to change our classrooms.
Academics were good, not bad all the academic activities were taken care of by experienced branch and faculty members. Every weekend there are workshops conducted which are related to some technical subjects or some social cause like smart city implementation, the role of m2. Before the final exams, there are pre-board exams are scheduled for revision. Projects that were given to us in the final year 7th semester we are assigned the minor projects. Which involved the PPT ( PowerPoint presentation), technical analysis, model making to present the live working idea and the same process happens in the 8th semester where we are assigned the major project these are the process of learning where I learned about the technical aspects of the technology.
All the faculty members have a positive attitude towards every single student. I have never seen any faculty or any teacher discouraging any student. I honestly liked the way my teachers were explaining everything in the class. My class atmosphere was magnificent one of my teachers always encouraged me to do well in my subject. One of my maths teachers was inspiring he told us about his days in college. Overall I can say that the faculty members and mentors try their best to maintain a good environment in class or in college for students.
The placements that happen in my time were good most of the companies are BPOs and technical there are hardly any 3 or 4 multinational companies that came in college. Maximum students were selected by BPOs and some of them who are successful in clearing the technical exam were placed in technical and if I discuss about package then it’s almost 1.5 and 2.6 LPA. The BPO sectors were offering between 18-20k and technical were offering 22-25k per month so there is no much difference whether you are placed in BPO or in technical is just a difference of work.
Hostel facility is not good as a student we provided an L shaped room which was shared by 3 students and on every floor, there was a one washroom available which is quite unhygienic. And the food provided in the hostel was sometimes good and sometimes you feel like you haven’t eaten anything or you still hungry so it happens constantly that I and my room-mates cooked something in a room without letting warden know a late-night snack. Like sandwiches, noodles and many more. The best service that the hostel provides is a free wi-fi connection facility, and the best part of hostel life was sneaking out and meet different characters out there. I think one must experience the hostel life it is something you always remember in your life.
The space in college was good it is not bad there are 3-4 big gardens where students can go and relax and observe nature. The college provides the facility of library 3 big libraries where you find a book on general knowledge, Hindi English newspaper Branch and course-related books are also available. The best part of the college campus has 3 canteens were available which serve the tasty and easy food that any student can buy from Maggi to mouth-watering chole bhature. One stationary shop is also present inside the campus so students don’t need to go outside for xerox, some small and big things related to study material. There is also a facility of extracurricular activities like drama society where I directed a nukkad play and a lot of societies like these who are looking for fresh minds to create something.
College campus provides me a lot of golden opportunities which help me to become a better and confident version of myself. I always remember those days initially in the starting it was quite tough to maintain the college routine but later on, you get used to it the hectic schedule and timings and projects everything is a part of the learning process. Everything for every single learning thank you so much GGITS I am thankful to my college GGITS.
