Review of Vidyavardhini's College of Engineering and Technology, Palghar

Overall Rating
As I got a low percentile in the CET exam, I was worried about which college I would get but then I got this college. The college is a two minute walk from the Vasai station and the college fee is also very reasonable when compared with other colleges. Overall, my 4 years in this college were well spent, from academics to their annual cultural fest ‘Zeal’, and a farewell party; it was all perfect.
 

Academics Rating
I got the new branch which was introduced that year only, the branch name was Computer Science and Engineering (Data science). The syllabus of this course was well made, considering from my first year to my final year, I learned programming languages like C, Java, Javascript, and Python, as well as learned subjects like artificial intelligence and many more interesting subjects. Overall, the academics of this college were perfect and up to the mark.
 

Faculty Rating
So, as it was a new branch (course) that I took, at first finding faculty for this course was difficult for the college but as time passed, everything went smoothly. The faculty members are very cooperative; if you have doubts, they will solve them for you. One faculty teaches two subjects in a year, but these faculties give many written assignments which sometimes become headaches.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this college is very good. During my first year, there were no ACs in classrooms and labs but after one year, the college installed new ACs and new PCs in labs and classrooms. It has a canteen, gymkhana, and a 3-floor library. Overall, the infrastructure of this college was pretty good considering the location.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life was really amazing during my four years. I made new friends and learned new things. There were many engagement activities like their cultural fest known as ‘Zeal’ which is of 3 days and then an annual sports day known as ‘Avahan’ which is of 7 to 14 days, and many more fests that will keep you engaged during your student life.

    Overall Rating
    Overall experience till now is average. I didn't get exceptional percentile in MHTCET so I didn't have any other options for admission. Although I was getting Thakur College but due to higher fee I didn't go for it. Here I was getting admission through TFWS quota which means my fee for a year was 17k so I decided to be here. If you can afford high fee then go for Thakur or St. Francis.... Read Full Review
