Haridev Joshi University of Journalism & Mass Communication is a place where you will get the best faculties from media industry who have years of experience in their own fields. This is the only State University in Rajasthan for Journalism and Mass Communication course and this is main reason I chose this university as I always wanted to study in a Government University. This university has provided me with practical exposure and helped me in getting industry ready. I took this decision 2 years ago and it was my decision so far.

There are many courses offered by the university like BA-JMC, MA-JMC {(Media Organisation, Advertising & Public Relations), (Development Communication & Social Work), (Social Media & Online Journalism), (Print Media), and (Electronic Media). The eligibility criterion to get admission in BA-JMC is that you should be 12th pass with 75% and for MA-JMC you should be a Graduate with 55% marks. Students who want to make their careers in media industry; this is a perfect place for them. They will get a chance to learn from those who have industry-work experience. The faculties are so cooperative and supportive. You can ask doubts any time from the faculties. Also, you can also access library till the university is open.

The faculties of the university have top-notch level of knowledge. They have studied from top-notch level of universities like IIMC, Jamia, etc. Ms. Richa Yadav, Head of Advertising & Public Relations Department is the Assistant Professor of the university. She has amazing style of teaching as she created an interactive environment in the class of Advertising. She uses different ways to make the class interactive like arranging quizzes, give projects, have discussion on marketing campaigns, and PPT presentation. Mr. Ratan Singh Shekhawat has immense knowledge about Public Relations subject. He gives examples of industry like how a Public Relation officer works. He also makes class interactive by giving assignments like write a press release on this event or rewrite Hindi press release into English and vice-versa. Ms. Shalini Joshi is a teacher who explains every detail of the topics. Ms. Garima Kapoor has great knowledge of camera and will make you industry-read when you step out of the university. Mr. Anil Mishra, is a teacher-cum-friend. He makes the classroom environment very friendly and students can ask any questions without any hesitation.

The university has started its Placement Cell last year only. They bring many good and reputed media houses. Many students got placement in reputed houses like Sach Bedhak, Danik Bhaskar, etc.

Campus doesn’t provide hostel facility as of now.

The university has its temporary campus in Hotel Khasa Khoti. It's a campus has lush green garden, a place where you get to see and hear the soothing voice of our national bird Peacock. The campus has two floors; on ground floor BA-JMC and MA-JMC third and fourth semester classes are held. On first floor MA-JMC first and second semester classes are held. There is a common room on first floor where students can read library books and can chill.

My campus life went amazing. This university gave me chance to experience college life. It gave some amazing friends, juniors, seniors, and teacher-cum-friend. I had most amazing time in this college. This college shaped me into a mentally and emotionally strong person. This campus provides you freedom to take classes wherever you want, be in classroom or in garden area.
